Out of contract

None.

Robbo - decent but we could do better. Thanks Robbo, good luck in the future.
Coulibaly - who?
Brewster - fuck no. Injured far, far too often. I'm sure he's a lovely lad, but there's no way he should get any kind of contract with us. Thanks Rhian, try not to do your hamstring on the way out.

I'd give Brewster a year if he looks decent this season, there's obvious potential there but weather or not he can stay fit for long enough and get into any sort of form is another question. Definitely wouldn't give him anything long term but if it looks like he's turning the corner then it would seem a waste to get rid.

This this this - end thread.

Robbo keep back up player
Coulie get off the books good luck to the lad
Brewster I feel for this lad would love for him to have come good but time is up unless he actually starts firing

I'd look to keep Robbo as back-up in any event, not too expensive and has the right attitude.

Coulibaly can go to AC Milan.

Brewster pay-as-you-play on £5k a week, if not he can go. I predict he'll end up in the MLS straight away rather than bothering with League One/lower championship where he'll be exposed as a league 2 player without better players around him.

Ah, the good old pay-as-you-play deal rears its head 🤣 Respectfully, bugger that.

Brewster, it's safe to say at this point, is not going to get anywhere close to double figures this season. If he stays fit someone will take a punt on him on a free, and good luck to the lad.

Coulibaly, on the other hand, will probably end up working in an Amazon warehouse or something. Never been a footballer.

Robbo - Dependant on wages, he'd be okay as a 4th choice centre back at this level.
If we get promoted, don't renew.

Coulibaly - No.

Brewdog - Too early to say, at this moment in time it'd be a no. If he goes all season without injury, continues to improve, finds a bit of confidence, then offer a 1 or 2 year deal max on reduced wages.

If Robinson is happy to be a backup on low wages keep him around. If that’s the best he can get then he probably needs a new agent though. Just don’t fuck him around or let him fuck us around, get decided and get it done.

Coulibaly 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Brewster 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

What’s everyone’s issue with Robbo? Think I missed the point when he became a player that isn’t even good enough to backup a team that’s probably guna be in the championship, especially when Anel will almost certainly leave and there’s no guarantee we’ll have Souttar next season. We only have 3 CB at the club

If we can’t get better than Robinson then we’re struggling. He’s one of those players that the more he plays for us in the Championship, the worse we are.

It’s fine in the PL when we never have the ball and you need a CB to kick, head and tackle. But with the ball at his feet he’s a bit of a liability, given that Anel and Souttar touch the ball a lot more than a lot of our other players we need their replacements to be someone who can pass a ball.

He always works hard and his long throw is an asset, but I don’t want him as starting CB for us.

No, but I'd have him as a squad player

Out of the three, Brewdog the only one I would consider keeping. Robboooo, has his strengths but his race should be run at United. You don't keep someone cos they can take a long throw or because they are a bit feisty. He's not good enough. Move him on in the summer and bring in another decent Championship level centre half.

Coulibaly ???? Get rid pronto.

Brewster. Depends on what he shows us from now til the season ends. Does well, then dangle a new short term contract in front of him and his agent (Lord knowshe owes us), either way, im not too fussed if he stays or goes. He doesn't do owt.... there's the door sunshine.

Robbo
Coulibarley
Brewster

All out of contract in the summer, who you keeping on and why?
Are those 3 the only ones who are in their last year ?
If so , that's a remarkable turnaround from last season.
And no real need to worry about any of them until we see where we are next May.
There used to be a really useful thread on here which showed the position with every player's contract but I haven't seen it updated since the summer - I've tried searching but can't find it - does anyone have a link ?

If we don't go up and no takeover we won't sign Souttar and Anel will probably be off so I'd say we would keep Robinson. The other two aren't worth considering.

Out of interest what do you think JLT is on? Wasn’t he signed when in the prem, got relegated, had a promotion, and admittedly another relegation but probably a new contract somewhere in between? He’s probably on a fair whack, especially for back up.

Coulibaly has recently said he’d like to end his career here so hopefully we can get something sorted on that front
If other clubs have any sense his professional football career will be over when he leaves in the summer.
