According to Transfermarkt West Ham have a year’s option in the summer. Its the out of contract thread for a reason although I am guessing there is a smallish fee involved due to youth development
First signing of the summer for me would be Jez George at Lincoln City, who's in charge of recruitment. He's worked really well on a low budget. The guy at Coventry would be a great poach but we won't spend anything like what they have. This is what’s exciting. Theres a lot of good players. Callum O’Hare stands out as do some others like Willock etc.
There is a huge scope to get a quality team in the championship. We are one of the big hitters in the Championship. Parachute payments will always be favourable and we are bigger than Luton and Burnley seem to go more foriegn. So we should have the pick from the ones who don’t go to the premier league.
It’s important we get the Head of Recruitment in early so that we can work on these now.
Transfermarkt isn't always right but tbf then again neither are the news articles linking him with a "free" to Sunderland actually!According to Transfermarkt West Ham have a year’s option in the summer.
He’d make sense we are going to need bodies up frontDivin Mubama from West Ham is who I think Nixon is linking us with
Osula, Benie, marsh, Brewster, currently our front line you would think. Not sure another youngster is what I want for the bodies section of squad buildingHe’d make sense we are going to need bodies up front
The worlds gone fkin crazyWoods on £100k pw currently
I think Benie is done here under Wilder. I’d try for a high profile loan upfront but other than that we might have to make do with kids. If this lad is the Jebbison replacement it would make sense in terms of the player profiles no idea who’s better.Osula, Benie, marsh, Brewster, currently our front line you would think. I am in agreement with you . I like Wilder as a manager but but I don't like his ideas regarding the players he seems to like when recruiting new players . He should leave the recruiting list to others . He may not like it but his track record is not good . As you have said Coventry seem to hit on some unproven talent on a regular basis along with the Bees .It is so important to have a good recruiting Department ,something we have been lacking in the last few years apart from the odd one or two we happen to fall on .First signing of the summer for me would be Jez George at Lincoln City, who's in charge of recruitment. This appointment is the most important one given the crap we've signed, or lack of, over the last four summers.
It amazes me that this club won't even entertain the idea of a director of football when it desperately needs one. Wilder spending what little money we have this summer scares the life out of me. I have no faith in him anymore when it comes to signing players. For every Brereton-Diaz there's a Grbic and Burke to outweigh the good from bad in favour of the crap.

Burrows has scored both goals in the final today… and he’s captain at 22. I reckon there’s a lot to like about this lad.
Not really sure who is really front line front line out of that lot.Osula, Benie, marsh, Brewster, currently our front line you would think. Not sure another youngster is what I want for the bodies section of squad building
Also a boyhood Peterborough lad maybe he would extend his contract with themApart from a likely price tag given Peterborough generally don't fuck about with telling piss takers where to go
Price tag? Do they have an option on him?Apart from a likely price tag given Peterborough generally don't fuck about with telling piss takers where to go

I have no idea. I've assumed that this "out of contract" thread has morphed into a general "I want this player" thread
I'd have to disagree about our first season in the Premier League. His track record is good overall.
Premier league first season was good overall. Second season poor.
Then in the championship his record is arguably one the best arguably in the division.
Time will tell if it can be done again.
I'd have to disagree about our first season in the Premier League.
Most matches we started with Henderson, Baldock, Basham, Egan, O'Connell, Stevens, Lundstram, Norwood, Fleck, McGoldrick, McBurnie.
Only Lundstram and McBurnie were new to that line up, even though Lundstram was with us the previous season.
Wilder signed Henderson (not really a new signing), McBurnie, C Robinson, Osborn, Jagielka, Freeman, J Robinson, Morrison, Mousset, Rodwell, Verrips, Berge, Besic, Retsos and Zivkovic.
That's 15 players of which only Henderson and McBurnie regularly held a starting place until Berge arrived. Mousset flitted in and out when he could manage 60 minutes.
Wilder wasted a ridiculously scandalous amount of money on players and we pretty much had the same team from the season before.
Onto the next season and we should have been signing replacements for our starting 11 to strengthen the team. Instead Wilder wasted more money on squad players who couldn't command a starting place except for Ramsdale, Ampadou (who was poor), and Brewster (who was poor).
Add to that this season and he's shown that he can't be trusted in the transfer market anymore. He may have been good 6 years ago in the Championship, but this is now and he's been poor in 5 of the last 5 transfer windows.
I'll score him 50% for this last window.True, look at the last window.
Grbic
Holgate
BBD
Although I am going to suspect the Grbic signing wasn't entirely his.
Your argument surrounds players that started being Henderson and Mcburnie. But players like Mousset had huge impacts and players like Jagielka weren’t bought as first team starter’s but as squad fillers.I'd have to disagree about our first season in the Premier League.

With all the players out of contract this summer this will be the most important transfer window that we've had in out recent history. Who knows if Wilder will be given money to spend on transfer fees as the club remains short sighted in utilising expensive loans whilst claiming that they want to sign players with future resale value, which they contradict with the loanees. Given that since we got relegated last time we only spent money on Ahmedhodzic I'm more than worried about this next window, as I don't trust our owner, I don't trust the club, I don't trust our recruitment team (not that we have one anymore), and I don't trust Wilder.
Jury cannot be still he out on Holgate.I'll score him 50% for this last window.
Grbic - £2mil on utter crap
BBD - great signing but we'll lose him the in the summer
Holgate - the jury is still out
We finished 9th with the players we signed having made little to no contribution in finishing there. So on that basis it was a bad window. It was our promoted team plus McBurnie and Lundstram. The other 12 barely stated any matches except Mousset and Robinson at the start of the season.Your argument surrounds players that started being Henderson and Mcburnie. But players like Mousset had huge impacts and players like Jagielka weren’t bought as first team starter’s but as squad fillers.
We finished 9th so it has to go down as an incredible window.
After that I do agree somewhat it wasn’t as good.
But it doesn’t matter anyway I believe United World are taking over transfers with Wilder having an input.
Wilders signings are Holgate and BBD and both have to go down as good signings.
What were the note important positions to fill when we signed Brewster? It is not so much the quality of player he signs but the logic behind signing them.
he was quoted as saying that because he is a blade he will treat the money as if it were his own..
why sign Brewster, Freeman etc when we had more important positions to fill
why throw toys out of the pram when the prince would not allow any signings when we were already down the last visit to the premier.
why waste valuable funds on the three latest loan signings
etc. etc.
