Might be going a bit over the top here but I think we are a couple of good signings away from winning the Championship. Honestly I really do.

Also I believe now that O’Hare and Moore has signed it will attract more players to come to us does anyone else agree?

If we have a strong squad then it will encourage more players to sign for us before the August transfer window closes as they will think we will be strong enough contender to get a return to the Premier League so that’s what I am thinking.

If we sign Cooper and a good CB and another box to box midfielder to replace Brooks then we will definitely have a good chance of getting promoted (providing people stay fit) which is why we need to get a couple of decent backups signed too.

To replace Brooks you say ?
Have I missed summat, thought he left yrs ago 🤔

Does anyone else agree that signing good players and having a decent, ambitious crack at promotion may attract players? Yes, literally everyone agrees with that William.

Let's see who stays, who goes and what happens with the takeover before we get too excited but it's looking a lot better than a few weeks ago.

Andre Brooks… at the minute he’s probably in the starting 11 and not good enough to be a starter
I don’t think he is, a midfield 3 of Hamer, O’Hare and Arblaster in some combination with T Davies as next in line (if fit). Brooks is bench fodder next season, ironically it was easier for him to get a game in the PL with the shitshow we had of signings and injuries. Souza will leave.

T Davies will be out for a while from what Wilder said.

It's starting to look like we could be this season's West Brom

I do agree the statement signings we have made may sway people like Bogle to stay and others to join.

It’s an easier selling point for Chris. Playing with some proven players in this league etc.

I agree with you, you're going over the top 😁

I remember August last year as the signings came in thinking we would easily stay up, with these proven Champ players (Trusty, Hamer) and unearthed international gems (Traore, Souza, Slimane), and the injured wunderkids came back on the grass (RND, Brewster).

I've learned never to expect nice things to happen ever again.

Hope we can get a good loan keeper or free transfer or good keeper on cheap to stop the goal going in anyway U T B

A keeper, yeah of course - although whilst less in the spotlight Grbić would probably actually come good this coming season.

But we need a whole boat load of players and things seem slim on the timescale now.

He’d need to reincarnate to have any chance of coming good!

He desperately needs binning, if we start the season with him as no1 it’s gonna make it hard work for the rest of the team trying to better the goals against.

So many times have we heard that the club will only bring players that will improve the squad and yet we sign some dross. This season so far, Wilder et al have brought in players that we'll improve the squad. Yet to see a poor signing. I feel all the players look quality for this league and some could step up another level. Unlike last season. The new recruiting department has done well....can't wait to see what we'll bring in after the "takeover"

I'm in agreement with you on this. It may have been slow and low in numbers, but it's definitely been quality over quantity. The only one I have question marks over is Shackleton, but he'll unlikely be a regular starter anyway.

Yes after a very slow start to the window we are finally getting our act together and we are seeing quality coming through the door .Wilder seems to be performing miracles getting some top notch reinforcements in without having much cash to splash . If the kid from Palace arrives the forward line looks as strong as it has ever looked in recent years ,mid field looks really strong and he has revamped the defence which was our main weakness last year ,just need a goalie and a couple of squad players and we look the team others will need to beat to be successful . Well done Tufty surely no one can knock him ,can not see any other manager being better for the job that was facing this club with no money to spend .

I mean, tbf, I can’t imagine any club in the world makes a signing and thinks “this is going to worsen the squad 😃👍.”

But I get your point about the signings so far being good.
