The only downside to yesterday is that Billy felt his hamstring. We won’t know until later next week the extent of the injury, but if the worse happens and he’s sidelined, who should we play upfront?

I’ve suggested a few combinations based on the options we’ve got. Things to consider:

- Could McBurnie actually benefit from playing with a more mobile strike partner?

- Is McBurnie fit enough to start in 2 weeks?

- Time to throw Jebbo in from the off?

- Is MGW more effective in midfield rather than behind a central striker?

- Time to give Ndiaye another run upfront?

- Could Osula be a dark horse?

McB might benefit for getting a run of games but I think his fitness is an issue,so I’ve gone for MGW and Jebbison, and build up some game time for the young lad.

I’d be tempted to go with MGW and Jebbison up top with McBurnie in the Didsy role behind when Sander gets tired

None of the above.

Sharp has been playing up front on his own, supported by MGW and Berge in a 3421, or by MGW in a 3511 with Berge deeper into midfield.

Replacing Sharp with 2 forwards causes too much disruption to the supporting players and midfield. Some players turn into square pegs in a 3412. Much better to simply make a 1-for-1 change.

Right now I would say McBurnie, with MGW and Berge behind. Stick with same 3421 setup.

Who needs strikers?

City and Barcelona have done well at times without 🙂

Total football.

Agreed .

Push MGW into a slightly more advanced position , let Ndiaye take his role and leave everything else as is , subject only to better players coming back from injury and replacing those who have covered for them .

Jebbison's time has come. He's fast; he's strong; he's fit as a butcher's; he can score goals. His running, chasing and pressing will be valuable assets we need to cement our place in the top 6. Then that Prem place is up for grabs. Don't anyone please give me any crap about not wanting to get back to the Prem. (I do love the Championship though)

NDiaye & MGW intrigues me, however I think we’d miss that fox in the box. We only have Billy who is that, McBurnie is goal shy at the moment & Jebbison is playing off the last man striker

We're not getting into the playoffs without Billy starting most of the games unfortunately (imo), if we do hopefully Sharp/Brewster will be match fit. Going into a playoff final with McBurnie brings up massive Craig Beattie flashbacks.

For the moment I'd play MGW up front with Berge/Ndiaye behind. Wouldn't be opposed to Jebbo starting. But his lack of playing time since coming back makes me doubt that he will.

Feels like our goals have mostly been coming from MGW and Berge lately, so who cares who's the nominal striker???

I’d go with. Jebbo, he’s got a bit of pace and that forces the opposition to defend five or ten yards deeper, creates more space between midfield and defence for the likes of MGW and Berge to be creative.

Someone told me he saw Billy leaving BDTBL on crutches.

This Blade talks absolute bollocks though so take that for what you will.
I heard Billy was just faking the injury to avoid an England call up. Focus on getting Blades back to the premiership.
