Watford (H)
Blackburn (A)
Preston (A)
Derby (H)

Oxford and Derby have very winnable fixtures, only Blackburns look as hard as ours, but we all have winnable games.

Any lingering ambitions I had of promotion evaporated after Wilder's return didn't give us the bounce many hoped, my main concern, and our main concern, now is at this moment avoiding getting cut adrift.

I feel we need to be getting at an absolute minimum 7 or 8 points from those 4 and hope results around us are kind, we should be somewhere handy then to pull away if we can string a few wins together.

I do still believe the squad is good, as usual with United when we aren't performing on the pitch it's usually to do with some off field dramas, this time being the whole sacking/rehiring Wilder debacle. We just need to get some confidence.

We are however light up top, we lack any kind of variety - Campbell and Ings seems similar to me, both are unable to complete 90mins. Cannon, well I'm not even going to get into it but it's fairly clear it's not happening and then there's Oné who Wilder won't pick ahead of Cannon, so until he signs a striker himself in the JTW I'm afraid we are stuck with a strike force about as potent as a camomile tea.

If we want to avoid relegation we need to come through that lot unbeaten with at least one win in there somewhere

We could do with at least 7 points, I reckon we’ll get 4. Which will be a massive improvement on the season so far.

Our strikers are good enough to get us out of this mess its midfield that's our biggest problem

Minimum 18 points from the next 4 or else it’s curtains for this season.

We playing Blackburn and Preston away Tuesday & Friday? Two of the biggest away allocations that are both night games in the same week 😅🙄

What strikers are they then?
If given opportunities allied to their strengths and abilities they will score hoof it up for Campbell or Cannon Fodder or Ings wont work -put all three up top playing the way we do wont work get the midfield right
Do you wonder why Mcburnie Moore and Brewster have between them scored more goals than our whole team have since Coventry last season 15 league games ago three strikers we in general wanted out

Other than Billy no strikers have ever done well under wilder, goals wise at least.

The tempo/style of play just doesn't lend itself.to getting goals for a front man.

We buy what are in theory good strikers and they invariably have a barren spell with us and then go back to scoring when they move elsewhere.

Leon Clarke scored lots and didzy was brilliant in other ways . Mcburnie scored some at points as well.

I think Clarke was about a goal every 4 games. So not in the prolific category, I am not dissing his contribution and McGoldrick is one of my all time favourites but his lack of goals was verging on the comical. With Mcburnie he scored in patches but had some long fallow periods.

If I was a striker chasing a good goal.scoring record I wouldn't sign for us.

It would be interesting to see who was banging in goals in the championship regularly for other clubs at the same time?

It seems to me that unless you are a Kane/Haaland type, goals are much harder to come by now than they were.
