Thought this kid did very well when he came on. Yes he's raw, but he held the ball up, brought others into play and always wanted to get involved. Looks like he could be a real player in a year or two. A lot bigger than what I thought as well. Looked a lot better than Jebbison if I'm honest (from what little I've seen of him).

As long as we don’t have expectations of him being amazing he’ll be ok as a sub for the next few games.

I’d much rather see him, Ndiaye and Jebbo in the team and on the bench than McBurnie. He’s on his way out at the earliest convenient moment for the club and his agent.

Looks good and still got more to offer. One positive at the minute I like the recruitment and direction the academies going with potential talent and recent success of the u23s last couple of seasons. To say we’ve not been bank rolled that’s one thing we’ve held our own with the produce of decent youth players, long may it continue. UTB.

Looks much more physical whereas Jebbo likes to run in behind and find space and pockets. Suits how we’re playing at the moment much more.

A future forward group of Ndiaye, Jebbison, Osula, Brewster, Lankshear and Ayari has the potential to be very nice indeed (emphasis on the word potential) Add in a 42 year old Billy Sharp and it’s a mixture of everything you want from a forward line.

Jebbo has come from nowhere a lot more to learn than Osula who has been in academy's for years. Its a pity we brought him back from Burton as he was learning off a great striker(Burton manager).
Osula has more natural ability just needs time to mature still very raw though. No reason Jebbo can't make it if he continues to work hard and listens to the coaches.
Would be great to see them step up to the plate together (both 18 years).
Reminds me of Mick Jones and Alan Birchinall who came through the ranks together in the 1960,s unfortunately we sold them both and got relegated.
Are you listening Prince!
We have some real talent coming through how many reach the 1st team is hard to say ! These two lads have had a taste ! A lot more to come from them hopefully

I'll stand corrected, but didn't Osula join the Academy AFTER Jebbison?

Edit - sorry, maybe the point you are making is Osula has been at OTHER Academy's for a few years, Jebbison hasn't. Sorry if I've misunderstood

I thought you would no the answer to that Phil.
From what Hecki says Osula has had a number of injuries in the last few years! Possibly released by some club and we picked him up
Yeah. In my small world, Osula is from Manchester United. Sorry for any misunderstanding.

But, as I've got your attention. I much prefer Osula to Jebbison. He's got that striker battering ram thing going on.

Yes agree Phil!
Can see Osula has been schooled in an academy!
Jebbo has come from nowhere really but will make a player if he keeps his head down and listens to the coaches.
Pity we brought him back from Burton the experience he was getting there was invaluable.

Sharp in - Lester out!

Gotta feel sorry for Jebbo being called back from a productive loan at Burton when we had Osula waiting in the wings the whole time, who now looks ahead of him in the squad.
Just a harsh lesson though, perhaps.

And can't feel sorry for a player everytime they lose their place due to poor form.

Got recalled, clearly then didn't do enough in training, then was really "not great" on the pitch either.

That's not a criticism as such, just reality. He actually performed much better for us in the Prem!

Still have high hopes for him.

Don’t wanna be controversial but Jebbison won’t make it at United, he’s done nowt, shown nowt and for some reason is talked about as potential!
REALLY?????!!!!!!

Play him in the 18’s then!
Don’t know what people see! He tapped a goal in at Everton from 5 yards and he’s brilliant!
In reality he’s half the player Mcburnie is but has no price on his acquisition so therefor distortion on ability and a narrative that poeple follow blurs the reality of what’s expected and what a player can do.

Osula has the aggression needed, no doubt, he is (at his young age) a handful, give him a year or so to really fill out and he will be knocking defenders around for fun.

Tbh anyone like him thrown in is gonna try and prove a point by at least running his arse off. And tbf that's all he did.
Today told us nothing bar the bare minimum we expect from any player.
Nothing to see here. But glttl.

REALLY?????!!!!!!
So you Write off an 18 year old kid who Everton offered 5 million for.
He's got a bit bogged down with all that's happened to him this season.
Just maybe lost his way a bit.
Are you a coach!? That is a drastic conclusion you've drawn on a youngster

Your post from October: "If you want Sheffield United to become a force at this level you have to do it without Billy Sharp I’m afraid".
From January: " Sharp is League 1 at best. Brewster full of energy and makes half chances whereas Billy needs the ball 3 yards out and spends all his time bouncing the ball off defenders legs, he’s not good enough."
More from January: "He's taking up a shirt because he's Mr Sheffield United."
