Unused substitute at Luton is all I can see.
I think you have to have represented the team. I.e. appeared on the field of play.

Now that could be logical bollocks from me but when it comes to integrity of the competition, I don't see how sitting on the bench and not playing really touches the sides on that score.

I'd imagine we'd keep him with us for the duration of his suspension, during which he cannot play for anyone anyway. He's then here as insurance depending on what transpires in the window, what happens with Khadra etc.

If it's all tracking well then we'll send him somewhere that he is likely to play games. If we're still nervous on depth or cover then he'll remain. He's only 18. Have half a season at Derby and playing with Didzy has probably already exceeded our expectations for him.

But, as an isolated evaluation of the loan, and setting aside our own circumstances, it would also make sense to make sure he is going to play more regularly. If he's just going to be a part time bench filler then he can do that with us.

Surely this is to get him back in to have a look while suspended and then loan him back out (probably to someone lower down than Derby)?

I highly doubt there are plans for him here at the moment, as he hasn't even been able to get in to a League One side. Unless the McBurnie/Brewster/Khadra situations have take a turn for the worse and we're really desperate.

dont see both jebbison and osula staying with us one of them will go out on loan again that is unless we are totally potless in which case both of em stay

But we are short of strikers!

Billy still trying his best.
Brewster out.
McBurnie obviously not fit and who knows if he'll get his previous form back!

Saw a bit more from Jebbo during his cameo at QPR. If he can keep doing bits like that, I'd keep him around. Osula goes back out at the end of Jan as a previous poster has said, to a lower division. He's suspended for the next three league games anyway.

I know Hecky has said he wants to keep the group together, but I really think we could do with a striker in Jan. Send Khadra back and use those wages elsewhere (I'm assuming we're covering a percentage).

Another possibility for recalling him, maybe one of Jebbison or Osula is being sold to raise funds for another loan striker

QPR was the first time Jebbison has actually looked like a footballer IMO.
I'd love them both to be amazing and stay with us 10ys or so, but from what i've seen of Jebbison so far, he's a low-end Champs player at best.

Which at 18 is quite good going.
I agree with your assessment, but I think he potentially has quite a high ceiling given where he's at, at such a young age.

Unfortunately that's no use to us right now.
We need a seasoned campaigner to help get us over the line, but it doesn't sound likely to happen whilst this takeover is going through.

Wouldnt it have been better to bring him back after this weekend, hasnt he got a 3 game ban, hes cup tied for this weekend so will have to serve his 3 games after this weekend, where he could have served one with derby then 2 with us or am i just a senile old bloke who gets confused

Osula would be best going back out, theres interest from Burton and Oxford, so he should be getting some game time at eather of those.

we might be but its very doubtful jebbison and osula will be good enough to score the goals to get us over the line i expect osula to go back out on loan and a striker to come in on loan but probably not till the last week of the window

He's 19 but your point still stands. No point selling him just yet as he still has some developing to do (preferably on loan).

I agree he's looked like Bambi on ice so far though, and if I had to bet I'd say he won't ever be a Premier League standard player.

He's got 2 options:

Calvert-Lewin ⬅️➡️ Slew

Exactly.
I'd be shocked if he doesn't have a career at least at EFL level though. 9 goals in half a season at Burton was a great showing for his first steps in senior football.
I just hope he's got some fire in his belly and is a hard worker. He seems a very chilled out character so its hard to tell. PH made a comment recently alluding perhaps to a bit of a lack of maturity from him at times.

I agree, which is why I've been saying we need another striker for months!

Took the words out of my mouth there, potential, we couldn't see it a mile away..
Or maybe he wasn't good enough to play for us at that time and we needed money to bring in players to get us out of that league? Everton (Koeman?) took a huge gamble on his and played him from the start despite him getting slaughtered by his own fans for doing so. I doubt any other manager would have done that.

I hope there is a greater plan than just bringing him back to make up the numbers. We did that with Jebbison and really stalled his progress

yes me anall but i think him being suspended swayed the decision by hecky he will go out on loan again imo

Oh I agree, there's reasons we sold all those young players, ultimately it resulted in a squad that got promotion, so it worked.

I'm agreeing that maybe we're (the fans) not the best at spotting potential, Jebbo n Osula will both likely have similar careers to DCL as they're looking better than he did at that age...

The few times I saw calvert lewin he looked shit..

If anyone had said DCL would end up as a highly rated PL striker and get photographed wearing a skirt, you’d have thought they were mental.

Glad I don't have the thousands of pounds to be tempted to wear one. 😂😂

God help us if McBurnie resorts to previous failure. He’ll be 👍

I'm not holding my breath that he'll get back to the goal scoring form he'd had recently.
Unfortunately I can only see a return of the McBurnie of old.
