We could appoint Floella Benjamin tomorrow and find Little Ted in goal next week. And he's far too small to be a goalie.

Happy as a pig in muck that he has gone.

The timing is very surprising though. I mean going " nil down at home after 25 mins is unacceptable, but sacking your manager after 2 games is bizare. If he was so close to being sacked, then why not get rid and give a nez manager the whle pre season? And what about his signings? I`m happy that he has gone, but it seems a little dsorganised.

Now if Birch has been making the signings over the summer and they bing in a replacement straight away then this may make sense. It could be feasibe that Speed has had a hand in the transfers and that Birch has been lining him up for the role. It was just a mater of time and a shoddy performance brought that forward. We`ll see.

Well I don't know whether to be happy or not, sure the football has been very poor and the lack of movement within in our team is baffling, but I hate to see a perso lose their job but I do think he needed to go but as Ollie stated I also find the whole timing bizzare. I also find it a bold but brave move from the board, but that also leaves me with worries on what direction we will now take.
