Was there anyone who thought Fulham’s dealings were shit? Mawson, Seri, Schurrle especially I thought seemed like brilliant signings. It could quite easily go tits up for Villa, so not gonna rule out whether they are the “next Fulham”.

Certainly not. Before the season kicked off, I thought they'd done some amazing business (especially with Shurrle). There was quite a big fanfare around their spending last season if my memory serves me correctly & alot of people tipped them to do quite well.

Turns out no-one knew what they were talking about!

Also, Fulham can fuck off for sacking Ranieri so quickly. Tossers.

I saw a stat (I think on sky tv) that I can’t seem to find now. Excluding this summer out of the top 7 highest spending promoted premier league sides only Fulham were relegated. So generally spending a lot gives you a better chance of staying up.

Spending money is often a barometer of success, ie. the good teams spend more money. Correlation doesn’t always mean causation!

Stoke were virtually everyone's favourite for automatic promotion last season and struggled so badly at the beginning (Getting their manager sacked).
Sometimes football can be so unpredictable, but fortunately CWAK have proven in the past that when we make a bad start, they can apply the right tweaks to put us back on track.

Sorry I'm not in the know or owt I just read an article in the Scottish daily mail and I'm.convinced he's signing

Well to be perfectly honest, in my humble opinion, of course without offending anyone who thinks differently from my point of view, but also by looking into this matter in a different perspective and without being condemning of one's view's and by trying to make it objectified, and by considering each and every one's valid opinion, I honestly believe that I completely forgot what I was going to say.v

They've signed 10 players (well, so far) we've signed 7 and appear to be after at least 3 more. Only difference is their players have cost more which I'm sure Wilder would have done if that money was available to him. They shouldn't need anymore time to gel than we do, arguably less as they 'did most of their business early'. Time will tell if they've bought the right players although Wilder was probably taking the piss out of them when he said he could have had his squad in by now if he'd spanked another 20 million.
Villa had 5 loan players last season right through the spine of the team. It has cost them best part of £70m just to replace that spine.

We have made 7 signings but left the spine pretty much alone and one of those 7 was part of last seasons spine. The other 6 are either cover players or will fit in to a system that is flexible and whilst important to how we play, has left the core of the team on which success was build (twenty odd clean sheets) alone.
