But he could say “nah, ffansi chwarae mewn prem, codiad cyflog, clwb mwy a ddim yn byw yng Nghymru yn eich plith”Guess he can hardly say "nah, fancy playing in prem, a payrise, a bigger club and not living in Wales amongst you fucking oddballs" can he
Blades of course
Villa may finish above us, but it isn't just about spending money alone, as we've already proven, but just as important is to buy the right players that fit the ethos, spirit, style, strategy and tactics
Already had a tenner with a Leicester fan who keeps telling me Norwich will finish higher than us
And in fact be clearing a furball from his throat....But he could say “nah, ffansi chwarae mewn prem, codiad cyflog, clwb mwy a ddim yn byw yng Nghymru yn eich plith”
I’ve heard that so many times, especially from Sheffielders.. It’s a cultural thing. I bet you thought exactly the same when we went up to the Championship as well? If not you, then many others definitely did.I'd snatch your hand off for fourth bottom ...then move on from there
I know what you mean, but in this case I think it's wrong. Imagine if the team and management thought like that, 'yeah we are aiming to win the league, but it'll never happen in a million years'? They wouldn't believe, as we don't, so realistic targets have to be set. To challenge at the highest level might require several years of planning and appropriate financing etc.We should be aiming to win the title next year, and every other year for that matter irrespective of what division we find ourselves in. Obviously that's never going to happen in a million years, but that should always be the aim. You should always aspire to be the best.
I do like that philosophy, but my favourite pearl of wisdom has always been. "The harder you work, the luckier you get".I’ve heard that so many times, especially from Sheffielders.. It’s a cultural thing. I bet you thought exactly the same when we went up to the Championship as well? If not you, then many others definitely did.
I don’t think like that. I really don’t. Not about football, not about life.
I had a mentor early in my life who once said to me, “Aim for the stars. If you fall short you might hit the shithouse roof. But if you aim for the shithouse roof you’ll end up down the pan”.
That’s my philosophy on life. I’ve found it to be true. I’d never go into any situation thinking I might just scrape through. I’m pretty sure Wilder doesn’t think that way either.
That’s not to say that I think we’re going to rip up the Premiership and finish as Champions. There has to be some realism as well. But 4th bottom? Why?
Your assumption is based on the supposition that we’d be in a stronger position next season - we can’t assume that. Financially yes, but a 4th bottom spot could lead to loss of key players, manager, etc. We have to make the most of the current situation and not think “if we can only survive this it will be easier next time round”.
We’re better than that. Realistically we should be pushing for a top half finish. But if you offered me that now I would not snap your hand off. I’d want to see if we can do even better.
It’s just a different way of looking at life I suppose, but in my experience the folks who aspire to do better usually do.
Unable to score against Atalanta. Useless. Clearly not worth the money they are asking.

My round! TPL what you havin’?Some people are 'glass half full'
You seem to be 'glass will probably crack in my mouth, I'll swallow some and choke slowly to death on my own blood'

A Cup final?Wonder if a cup run might lead to anything this season?
Looks like he will be bad influence. It's a no from me. Bring back Madine.
Am I missing something?Look at caption
Am I missing something?
Oh fuck off with your logic.Don't think you are. The lad who posted it is a non-league footballing mate of Oli's, the caption looks to be in reference to the night out / holiday they've just shared together. Nothing to do with an impending move.
Interesting a lot of media outlets think Norwich will do wellCollect your tenner now ....!!
I think Norwich are certs to go down ..Brighton a close second ....just hope its Villa /Burnley....or a n other for third bottom ...fingers crossed ..it could go to the wire
Well he did write about a Sheffield thwitel (spelling varied before you correct me!)...If Geoffrey Chaucer were a Blade...![]()
