Swindled out of a cup final appearance in this Leicester City three game dual.
Doc having chested the ball down and shooting home the only goal in the match.
Ref. said he handled the ball whilst bringing it under control with his chest.
father in law who was at elland road that maintained till his death that it wasnt hand ball and that we were cheated out of a cup final appearance against the mighty spurs in 61 silent will know if he was there but sure we were the better team at the city ground in the first replay

My dad went to the Spurs v Leicester FA Cup final. He was the secretary for Prestwich's Sports and was able to obtain FA Cup final tickets. My Uncle Ronnie still has the ticket stub. My dad also went to the 1949 and 1955 FA Cup finals.

Thanks, all.

I really miss the old JST. Very happy memories for me.

They were the days.
Team traveling on same train as supporters. Never did it myself but remember my granddad and uncle, his youngest son, went to Stamford Bridge cup tie, lost 2-0, Hatley, and team mixing with supporters on return.
Mi granddad had a good chat with Mick Jones on the return journey.
