I've liked that as I've not seen that photo before, but not sure a like is the right response
I agree!! All’s well that ends well we have quite the ground now. Compare it to the antique monstrosity in south Barnsley.

Is The Hammer on the left in those two pictures Frank Lampard Snr?
Yes, Billy Dearden hat trick on midweek afternoon 29th February 1972. My kind headmaster allowed me the afternnon off school, my dad couldnt make it to the match so his workmate took me to watch the match.

I wagged it and told the teacher next day that I'd been off because of a bad nosebleed. Sadly his wife was a Blade, saw me coming out of the kop after and inadvertently let it slip. He was OK with the football, just gave me a lecture on dishonesty.

Tommy Wards elephant plus a couple of camels, which I wasn't aware of before today.
Apologies for the poor reproduction of the photos.

Strange / ironic that the best looking parts of the ground are the oldest 2 stands. Granted they've had modernisation and a lick of paint, but the opposite view of the stands is no where near as good. I still think and thought at the time that the JS was built way too far back, and could have been much bigger. and the Kop, well.

The Ledge, oh my God, the memories, the happiest of happy days
Despite being a Terraceite, but having resided on the Kop on numerous occasions over the years, that photo stirs something deep inside, for mortals, who are of the Blades persuasion.
Picked it up off here at sometime, take a bow, whoever put it up originally.
