No, the photo was the 1-1 draw in December 1972
1948-49, only season Young & Hitchin on books together, both far right in photo.

When I first saw the photo the first things I noticed how Dick Young (later coach and then manager at Carlisle) was expanding his chest and the young player (you think is Dodd) shielding himself!![]()

If I remember correctly his first game for us was in a home League Cup 1st Round 1st Leg encounter which we drew 1-1.
Apparently Verde thought it had been a friendly until he was told about the 2nd Leg after the game!
Lost 2nd Leg 3-1 I think. And I think that was Trenton Wigan's debut for the Blades, coming on as substitute?
