So Policemen did wear coats all year round 🤔😉😉
Nesh bobbies, they din't mek 'em in '74 like they did when I were a lad.
I know there won't be many on here who'll remember the huge police man who regularly did point duty, city centre, during the 1950's, but can anyone? I would have thought once seen never forgotten.

Tiny?

Tin(y), no a copper, let's not let this meld in to an alloy,
Probably was his nick name. I did some work for an associate who's mother in law was his daughter and if memory serves he was in at the break up of the Sheffield Gangs, 1920's.

Albert Bentley apparently was the huge copper aka Tiny who directed traffic at the top of Angel Street in the sixties?
Walter Longley was the big copper who helped to break up the Sheffield gangs in the 20’s according to the Sheffield Forum.
