It is indeed the Lansdowne. I took it from an odd angle because I was trying to get the sun at a favourable angle. The S&E anx MSC were fortunate, accidental inclusions. On the far right, it also looks like the old Hermitage is covered in scaffolding but t Ive no idea which incarnation it was at that time.
All time number one pre match boozer.April 1985. I only ever went in about twice in my life ( the pub, that is). I got my school uniform from the co-op behing though.View attachment 74352
Coventry 3 Blades 0 in November 1972?
The history of western Ukraine is miserable. Pawns in a political game for -100s of yearsI think what happened is that after World War 2, borders were redrawn, and a part of Poland was reclassified as Ukraine. Many of the Poles who ended up in the UK had nothing to go back to, as they lost their land, farms, houses, etc.

It could take a very long time thoughThese things go in cycles.
We will be again.
I think Silent is right. Tom McAlister in goal & Colin Stein in the back of the net.... Jim Brown would have been in goal in 1975?Coventry 2 Blades 2, March 1975.
John Craven just scored and ended up in the back of the net.

Looks like the 3-2 (Edwards hat trick) win in the Anglo Scottish Cup in August 1977
Yes, this time, the caption does match your answer.Looks like the 3-2 (Edwards hat trick) win in the Anglo Scottish Cup in August 1977
Didnt recognise the Oldham player on the left so I had to google the 1977/78 Oldham squad photos. He is Carl Valentine, the other Oldham player is Graham Bell, I think. Jim Brown and Gary Hamson are our players with visible facesYes, this time, the caption does match your answer.![]()

This one is also from the same competition, apparently. Don't know if you agree or not. Dennis Tueart on the ball.

In the early 1970s my dad was able to park his car in Asline Road
Was it 1978 when the houses in Asline Road were knocked down?I used to live at 12 Asline Road until 1978, so he probably parked outside our house, next to me dad's blue Ford Anglia!![]()
Oh my. The old chapel at the corner of Rowland Rd. I lived on the next street, Alderson Place. I used to play football in the chapel yard.

At one of the Tony Currie soccer schools (must have been Easter 1991) we ended up in the "gym". I remember the penalty competition...I won and was presented with an Arsenal Panini football (covered in player pictures, and like a rock) by Vinnie Jones and Colin Hill. All I can remember of the gym was the green carpet on the floor and the viewing platform around the top. Top quality facilities...Another view of the beloved winter shed, this time from around 1991.
Running along the left hand side was the gallery and Vic's "office". The pitch inside was about 6 ft lower. It would be great to see some internal shots if anyone has any.View attachment 74607
