Have a like, even though Jock was scoring against us!
Yes that is right. I remember you mentioning in here that you met Fred White tooSilent, Am I right in thinking that Fred Furniss used to sit in the JSS, behind us (and you when you were in JSS)?

Marvellous photo, snippet of United's history, over the white line in the heat conflict. Love these type of pictures but having said that I often find captions on them are misleading. I look at this one and no way does the central figure look like Fred Furniss. I saw Fred play many times, as I've indicated in the past., and the hair line silhouette seems wrong. To be honest at first glance thought it was D Dooley, but after a little rummaging decided it must be Charlie Maskery Thompson. Look him up think you'll find him interesting. Over 100 appearances, 88 war time for United with a creditable career after he left.

No, Goulding was a schoolboy at the time.Woodward and Goulding ?
Tony Wagstaff is about to score but it was the 1966/67 season (we wore white shorts for home games between September and December 1966 and then wore them again for all the 1967/68 home games apart from the last one). The number 9 is not Mick Jones or Alan Birchenall so who is he?1967 /68 season - the white shorts. I'd say Tony Wagstaff but I'm not sure of the number 9.
Correct about the West Ham players. Ken Brown is far right.1967 /68 season - the white shorts. I'd say Tony Wagstaff but I'm not sure of the number 9.

NoMick Hill?
It is who I thought it was, looked it up to confirm. Good one, will let it run. Confused myself 'cos had it in my mind he was a CH. The same fixture the following season is even more interesting, 9 in that game don't think any one would get that off the top of their heads.
