Down the hill from Crookes, Barber Rd/Howard Rd/South Rd make up Walkley
Go on then, I'll bite. How is Barber Road part of Walkley? I'll give you South Road as it's definitely Walkley but I think Barber Road and Commonside are debatable.

Commonside is an odd area, as it forms a triangle between crooks, crookesmoor & Walkley, although it is usually classed as Walkley.
The left side of Barber road (city bound) is (or at least was) in S6 but the right side was in S10, I was born just off Barber road on Bower road, although in S10, the address was classed as Walkley

I lived on Warrington Road, which leads up to Beehive Rd, which runs parallel to Bower. I would never have said that's Walkley. When you say it's classed as Walkley, who by? Is there an official boundary? (This is a 30 year old argument for me, going back from when I lived in the area).

Before you moved to Indonesia?

I lived on Bower Road from 63 to 86. Beehive road was classed as Crookesmoor.
As I said, commonside is usually classed as Walkley.
If you Google Commonside addresses, they are listed as Walkley, although their are no clearly defined boundaries.

Interestingly, but not surprisingly, some individual addresses are Commonside, Walkley, others are just Commonside but all estates agents call it Crookes (in the same way that estate agents try to pretend west Shepherd's Bush is Chiswick).
But the Buddhist Centre describes itself as in Commonside, between Walkley and Crookes. Presumably to avoid conflict. :)

The Buddhist centre is probably the most accurate as it starts at the junction of Springvale road/Howard road & becomes school road at the other end.

A fair point!
As kids we always assumed Walkley included Commonside because I don't think we ever had reason to stray from the main road which leads onto Crookesmoor (as we were all from around Heavygate Rd and up the roads leading to Crookes).
To us Commonside was just the shops and was tagged on to Walkley as a kindness ;)
Having looked at the map and read the above comments, after nearly 50 years I am happy to allow Barber Rd to become part of Commonside and subsequently allow Commonside to be recognised as a distinct area of Sheffield! :)
