Bad memories.
The only season Northampton were at the top division. We won with a Ken Mallender goal
Anyone recognize a former manager of ours in that picture?

I've always thought it was originally called Lemmings Lane, corrupted over time.

Yes, junction of springvale Road.Could it be Commonside?
I'm fairly sure that the middle two on image two, are both on South Road, Walkley.More images of Sheffield trams.
My grandfather was a tram driver.
Remember the tram shed at the start of Shoreham Street.
Just wondered if anyone could place the images with no details.
Seem to recall the one with the Esso sign, wondered if it was beyond Endcliffe Park ion the way to Nether Green
Interesting the one showing passengers waiting for a tram stood in a marked out box on the road, would not fancy that today.
Sheffield had one of the best transport systems in the UK.
Great pity it was dismantled and privatised.

One of my favourite photos of Hodgy - agility, athleticism, concentration combining to make a great save. No gloves, even though the pitch was clearly wet, so the fingers really feel the ball. A goalkeeper lives to make that kind of save.
The first one is at the junction with Greenhow Street, the second one I'm not as sure about.I'm fairly sure that the middle two on image two, are both on South Road, Walkley.
Not an old photo, but can't work out who this is:

Sorry mate, hadn't realise that the link hadn't copied over. What post # are we looking at?
Grandma used to live in the house right on corner of Greenhow St and Heavygate Rd - luckily at very top.
Modern youths ought to try to walk up either Greenhow St or Fir St a few times![]()
