Cars on Cherry St? Must be an old photo, last time I went past the other end, it was blocked off!
Any idea when the pic was taken? If that is the landlord it could be one of my wife's relatives, maybe great grandfather
Top Blades 2 Leeds 1 in March 1985
My grandad used to farm the land at Rocher Head. If you walk up the path off Smallfield Lane there may still be some stones from the farmhouse left up there. Not too much to see as it’s heavily wooded and there’s no castle, just the motte. Go through the churchyard (past the flood graves) and it’s up the hill to your right.
Agreed it’s a great place, love walking round there.
In the bottom right hand of the photo there s a date that looks like 1885.Any idea when the pic was taken? If that is the landlord it could be one of my wife's relatives, maybe great grandfather
A lot of different clubs represented amongst that squad.
Remember Frank and Geoff Salmons coming to our school for a talk in our final year. A school that had 99% Wednesday fans. Every question leading to a Wednesday answer. Gits.
Yes, when pro. football wasn't fully ruled by outside factions.A lot of different clubs represented amongst that squad.
Is this 61-62 Leicester, Gordon Banks gathering ball, Billy Russell challenge

Didn’t know that houses were previously on the right hand side. Any idea when they were knocked down as I can’t remrmber anything other than the grass that is there currently.

As an aside this is the road that I parked on for many years in the nineties upto a few years ago when they decided to make it as difficult as possible to park your car on match days
Was that the game Nathan Blake tore them apartI’ve got it as when we beat Newcastle 2-0 in our last home game of the season, 30/4/94.
Thanks for that. 78 was my first season but I was only 7. My dad will probably remember in that caseYou can see the backs of those houses in the photo below from 1978, so they were demolished for the widening of St Mary's Rd just after that I reckon.
