I'm usually the first person to get frustrated with the officials we seem to get at BDTBL, but you just have to remember:

If they were any good they'd be reffing in the Prem.

I'm sure, like football teams, the officials we get are assigned to what is deemed to be their level.

Let's not blame the officials for being the architects of our own downfall this afternoon. We shouldn't be relying on the officials to have a good game, and we didn't have to today considering some of the chances we had and the nature of the goals conceded. Let's just hope that the performance was a two-off and normal service is resumed on Tuesday night.

I thought ref did OK. Certainly one of the better ones we have had. Certainly not his fault we dropped two points.
My only criticism of him is that he allowed their keeper to take the piss with time wasting but all keepers now seem to do it.
I thought the Gillingham team represented everything that is wrong with modern football. Deliberately wasting time (egged on by their manager) and writhing around in apparent agony when they had hardly been touched and so disrupting any of our rhythm. But that's the modern game. No sportsmanship left. Gillingham showed themselves as a dirty nasty little team. How they survived with 11 men on the pitch I don't know. But they are not untypical of L1 teams and we have to and frankly should beat them. If you give away stupid goals and don't take your chances....

Looked perfectly fine to me watching it from the Kop but after seeing the video that was posted, he was definitely offside.

Son? Don't think so, I'd be ashamed if I was. Seemingly unable to grasp the simple concept that even if we had won the game, people can and would still talk about how poor of a referee we had for the match.

What is so hard for you to understand that this isn't about our team, our players etc this is about pointing out that the performance of the referee (I'll put it in caps for you - REGARDLESS OF THE RESULT) was very sub standard and ISNT being used by people as an excuse.
If you don't get that point this time around I give up trying to explain as I'd then have to resort to a medium you may understand such as pictures in crayon.
