Norwood

That's why it's a team game with no I in team apart from IllIman who has 2. ;)

When the team plays well each individual raises their game. When the team plays badly (see 2nd year in the PL) they all look like donkeys and Chris Wilder gets the blame.

We always said he needs runners around him. Baldock and Khadra were closing down Blackburn players with such ferocity, they must have said their nans stunk of piss.

Yeah if you were a Blackburn fan you would be pissed off with that setup.
We were saying the exact same in the car home - what a negative set up from start to finish, and some people call Hecky negative !

One of those that won't be appreciated by some until he's not there sadly. Brilliant player for us.
Exactly

But others know much much better and we will hear from them later i have no doubt

If Norwood is pressed then he doesn’t have
a trick or pace to make space and his threat is mitigated which is probably why he never went to the next tier of clubs.

If he is given time and space then he can destroy teams with his passing ability.

Regardless of this he is always there as an option to pass to which speaks volumes.
For a player of his technical ability, his set pieces and shooting should be better if being hyper critical, but an absolute joy to watch at times.

This is turning into a good run of games for Olli N. Playing better with better players around him?

I thought his performance today summed up his time at the club; extreme highs and lows, with more highs than lows.

The free kick was lovely, his shot shortly after was great, he played some fantastic balls and was defensively resolute too.

Equally, he inexplicably shot from the kick off, and nearly cost us a goal with that suicidal hook back to Foderingham.

In games when he's afforded space, he's so useful. It's just a shame that in games where we're pressed high, he becomes far less effective.

Overall, he had a great game yesterday & I hope that & the lovely goal he scored are the start of a purple patch for him. When he’s in that sort of form, he makes so much happen for the team.
And 2nd half on the touch line in front of the South Stand about Block B/C we got a free kick after a foul (Baldock? Ndiaye?). Norwood looked like he was ripping the piss out of their little floppy-haired sub who gave it away. Laughing his head off, chirping at him about his antics - he looked like he enjoyed his game yesterday did Ollie.

Norwood was mostly very good yesterday we know he is not so good when rushed and pressed, for him to be effective the rest of the midfield have to be at it, notice Berge had a good game and John Fleck rather than Jimmy turned up if one of the components is missing Norwood struggles

Can't tackle and won't score another goal in his career. The experts have told us.

Norwood has players around him who are running on or off the ball constantly now, this is what a player of his calibre needs to bring the best out in him. Norwood will play a pivotal role this season and I think he’ll help us to 90 plus points and 100 plus goals this season.

In his post match interview, he said that the coaching staff (Duke?) had said that the keeper takes a poor starting position, so it may be worth trying a shot from distance. They also told him that the keeper likes to "cheat" on free kicks by taking a step before the ball is struck. So one out of two for the coaching staff.
