In Globe , Roebuck , or a n other pub ,
Stagger down to lane maybe have a quick un , in cricks .
After game , 4 or 5 more while heading to Midland Station , and Sheffield Tap for 6.20 ish train .
Back into Manchester airport ( take direct train ) , pint or two out at airport ,
For supersonic flight back to Dublin , 10.30 flight ( go on it ) the plane is screaming in pain it's going so fast ,
Back home tired and emotional in Dublin 10 by 12.30 .
Easy peasy lemon squeazy .

One of my mates runs the Sheffield and District Rangers SC (he's also a Blade), and has sorted a few trips to Belfast over the years for NI and Linfield games, which is obviously the reverse trip to what you do! I'm hoping to get over for the Germany game in October and/or in December for laddo's 50th, there's a few of us going over for that.

My nephew has travel a few times with SADRSC up to ibrox.
A part from not getting bck in one day east midlands ap is definately the best
Definately miss the old sheffield ap and flights from belfast

Great to see blades across the world. There were a few Belfast bound blades in the airport after the Hull game at Wembley. I was on an Edinburgh flight but was chatting to a few from Northern Ireland. Personally I found it was often easier to fly tiaway games. Fortunately I'm now back in the beautiful steel city. But looking at this season; all London games, Bolton, Preston, Derby, Forest, Bristol, Cardiff and all Birmingham clubs would potentially be quicker and easier. Who doesn't love an away day?!
Flying into London and getting back into the international is no problem its getting to BDTBL

Very true. The major problem for an exiled blade (with a lack of serious loyalty points) is being guaranteed a match ticket for away games. For example, I had hoped to do boro away this weekend but because I felt, as the opening away fixture, it would never get to general sale I didn't book flights. Low and behold it turns out that I could've got the tickets after all. Away travel is sometimes easier but securing a ticket becomes the killer.

Have u got a membership card GTC sometimes its handy having one

I normally fly Dublin to Manchester , straight out of T3 walk 10 mins max , ( unless Manx Blade picks us up, still owe ya a pint for last time .)
to railway station , £28 day return , normally 5 to every hour , 1 hour 10 minutes later back in Sheffield .
So if I get 6.30 flight in Sheffield by 10.30 latest .
Normally get last flight back 10.30 , back in D10 by 12.30 ,a long but wonderful day , once we win .
Try to avoid , when either Manx team play as Ryanair hike the prices big time .
I don't think I'll be going over before Christmas , holiday next month , new Job this week .
Irish Blades have a Facebook page , think there's close to 60 on it .
Flew into east midland airport a few times , not a bad trip , bus right outside airport , dropped off at Derby railway station , not a hard trip to do .

Where u from HB

Originally from Kilkeel BB, came over here in 89, fell in love and stayed. But now is not the time to get all sentimental about my Beloved Blades. I also met Lady HB and settled here.

Get over every so often to visit family/friends. Settled in Warwickshire now, a short trip up the M1 to Sheffield.

Was just wondering how many Blades fans on the forum if any live in NI and travel over for games

I have to agree with dublin 10 blade in that the cheapest flights across will be from Dublin. Obviously, I will be flying into Birmingham which might not be the handiest for Sheffield. They may be easily beaten in terms of service, but not for price.

Was going to do an away game Bolton / Preston , one with enough tickets and close to a major airport then maybe stay in Manchester , but fixture list bunched me and several mates plans on this score .:mad: .

I've family in Belfast I'd love to go and see, what's the best company to use to fly with?
I'd be flying East Mids to Belfast City....
No difference you'll be flying in a turbo prop rather than a proper plane.
