Guessing Hecky says before pressers he doesn't want to be asked on these two?

He's been asked several times and his answer is always the same

A few months ago when asked about Brewster his reply was:
"Look....I could give you a date we expect him to return but it doesn't mean anything....as far as I'm concerned he's back when he's back"

A few weeks ago I heard Radio Sheffield ask for the latest on Brewster and RND and his reply was:

"Look....I don't know when either are back....I don't even ask"
"Don't want to put any pressure on either of them but as far as I'm concerned....they are back when they are back".

Basically he's stopped giving updates on any injuries.
Can only think it's to protect his medical team because we do seem to be having some real issues with the amount of injuries occurring in training
delayed/ slow rehabilitation and incorrect recovery estimates and timescales.

Regards RND it's becoming like the Jack O'Connell situation....will he ever return?

Brewster was training on his own in Portugal (5 weeks ago?) Then 2 weeks ago he was back in full training. Then silence.

Think Friday will prove decisive with these two if they are or aren’t included in the 25
True.

Now can we all agree it's a forum ban to say things like "next JOC" or "never playing again"? Phew, long overdue.

Stadium ban you say? Probably unenforceable, but I wouldn't disagree.

Brewster picked up another knock apparently. Not the same injury. It happens when you are coming back from a layoff. I don't think we'll include him in the 25 and if he's approaching anywhere near fit we'll see him play it out in the 23s until January.

I would like the club to actually explain what the position is with RND, ie what the injury is and what the prognosis is. Unless I have missed it they have not done this for months.

I assume Baldock will be missing tonight.
For some reason the club seems to think the done communication is:
Hired somebody
Fired somebody
Signed somebody
Sold somebody

Apart from the obligatory Press Conference before the game with the usual non-specific waffle, the club tells you nack all about what they're up to 24/7.

I personally find it pretty poor from the top (if you're thinking what else? Academy plans, ground plans, other infrastructure etc) which is all very ironic given we are very good at social media as a general rule.

Talk of Osula and Jebbison needing loans, but it might be better for Brewster to do a few months out on loan until Jan. Gets he fitness up, more game time and hopefully build his confidence with a few goals.

Didn't get play against Stuttgart, the one behind closed doors?

More questions need to be asked regarding Brewster, been out for best part of a year, one minute it sounds positive training again then nothing new for weeks?

Didnt somone mention RND snapped his achilles tendon?
I was told his achilles had detached by a bloke at the dentist in February.

United were reporting a hamstring injury at the time I think but even at the time I thought it was an odd thing to make up considering we only spoke about the Blades for a couple of minutes.

He might be missing on the pitch but there's hardly a club video been made over the past year where he doesn't feature somewhere in it looking as happy as Larry. Feel for the lad though. He's going to be very reluctant to accelerate and run flat out again.

Apart from bowing to fan pressure, why should the Club communicate anything other than fact. This forum can supply all the guesswork.

The problem is these days, with the popularity of social media, open communication divulging the truth is extremely risky
because many people will use it as ammunition to bash the club at a future date and there will still be plenty accusing the club of lying, everytime anything is revealed.
You only need to look at the recent interview with the owner, he was up front, explaining we're still ambitious and plan to bring in several quality players before the window shuts. On Twitter and Facebook there were so many posters working themselves up into a frenzy
insisting the Prince is a liar and we'll not buy another player this season. They predicted our owner will take the money and run because he hates the club and its fans.

So it makes sense to say as little as possible, that's why Hecky always acts like he hardly knows anything about transfers and injuries.
Wilder was much more open, wore his heart on his sleeve, which I liked where as Hecky is like a poker player giving nothing away, which is probably his strength.

At the end of the day it’s nobody’s buisness but the clubs. Releasing information all the time to placate selfish needy weirdos who want to know what will osulas dog had for tea will damage the club. As little information in the public eye as possible is the best way.

I'm not suggesting the club shouldn't deal in facts.

Advising what the long term plan is for the Academy, Training Ground, Ground Development etc.

It wouldn't hurt to share what the current plan is. It all seems so need to know on the assumption fans don't need to know anything.

It wouldn't hurt to share these plans, like the next steps in finding an Academy site for instance. Are we even still looking?

I understand that but if the club indicate what they might be doing, they will get panned if it doesn’t happen.
If they keep quiet they still get criticism.

Brewster has just landed the part of Flava Flav in the new Netflix Public Enemy docu-drama. If you turn up at the ground and the clock is missing from above the John Street stand, Brewster will have it on a chain around his neck.

Brewster has not been in one of those training vids on youtube since the one before palace, in which he was doing the shooting drills and looked to be moving/running well. Something must've happened, as far as I could see he hasn't appeared since - even in the gym.

He was in the background in the changing room on one of the Archer videos.

I heard he has done is other Hammy, not as bad as the original injury though but it has put him back 4 to 5 months. Made of straw that kid....

Must do because Brewster never gets mentioned ever!
Hopefully the next time he's mentioned is when he leaves the club.

Nothing personally against he lad but he's an absolute drain on resources and someone needs to be offering to pay him part of his contract and he can go and play non-league somewhere and maybe score a goal.
