Norrington-Davies & Brewster

I would like to thinks so too, but remember Hecky saying a few weeks ago that Brewster would be carefully manage for his comeback? Maybe sharing duties with McB and new boy Benie? Don’t think subs will be a problem, Stuttgart friendly, or Palace in EPL.
Yeh wouldn’t expect a full outing or 45mins but he’s in “full training” so maybe 10-15 just to test his progress. Got to do it sometime.

He’ll be miles away from any sort of match fitness. I’d expect a few appearances for the U21s before he’s anywhere near the first team.

As usual Heckingbottom is refusing to give any injury updates. Saying a player is progressing isn’t an update, it‘s a non answer.
The only reason he’s being secretive is to take potential criticism away from the medical team.

If they’re making estimates that a player is out injured for 3 months but he ends up being out for 6 months
then it raises the question about the competency of the medical team or shows that a player could have more serious injury problems if they keep relapsing.

I even heard Hecky say in an interview last season that he doesn’t know when players are due back and doesn’t ask anymore.
He said as far as he’s concerned they are back when they are back.
We‘ve even had players back on the grass doing proper training and they’re still not being put in the match day squad.
Darren Moore at SWFC had a very similar style of not giving injury updates, just saying a player is back when they are back.

I actually thought RND and Brewster started running end of June with the squad

RND was in yesterdays training video, though he was doing gym work when I saw him, Coulibaly was there too. Didn't see any sign of Brewster, McBurnie or Bogle.

Not read back but here's a tiny, second-hand ITK - RND is nowhere near and has been travelling and not doing much football related stuff. I don't know if he needs time to heal to be pro football level, so it may not matter that he's generally out of action atm.

Just stick these two in the old JOC thread then if we ever see either of them again it will be a nice surprise.
Journos should stop asking , it just makes everyone sad - if PH has stopped asking , that's a good sign , coz it means he has reluctantly started to plan without them.
We've signed Trusty to replace the RND of early last season.
We're now scratching around for strikers who can worry PL defences.
I don't quite see the sense in the Traore signing when PH says he's not ready.

You can't blame the medical staff for every injury obviously, but the amount of relapses, soft tissue injuries, and delayed returns over the last few years has to be a cause for concern.

There has to come a point where bad luck isn't a sufficient excuse or reason. I'm struggling to remember such a period in all my time.

I've no idea how culpable our staff have been in all this but from the rumours of how JOC was handled to a seemingly never ending full treatment room, surely it would be remiss to not consider this side of things.

We'd far from be the first club to realise it needed a proper overhaul on this side of things.

It's beyond bad luck at this point.

No I am not a Doctor either but the fact we had players ended last season fit coming back pre-season injured is just crazy.

Are Man City saying the same about their medical team with regards to KDB. He had a hamstring injury came back and is now out for 4 months at least and Pep says maybe he needs surgery maybe he doesn’t.
Injuries happen and I’m pretty sure that we don’t have any more or less than other clubs. Football places a very high level of physical demands on the body, more so now than ever before

Totally agree, Brewster is unlikely to feature for the blades again, Pity about RND he had potential.
Hopefully the Mcburnie rumour about Leeds is true ….we should unload him in a heartbeat before he joins them on the long term sick list

When you take a step back and look at the pair of them (McB & Rhianne) then they are without doubt our two worst signings ever

People need to realise that McBurnie was shite last time in prem, granted so we're the rest. Has anyone ever seen a Premier league striker that can't run, seriously McBurnie can't run faster than a jog and that on its own is simply not good enough.

Thoughts on Piroe as the latest striker suggestion? Can’t be worse than McB can he, although Swansea have had us over once and we wouldn’t want a repeat, especially for similar money….

Or maybe.

To not put pressure on the lad.

Also if Hecky says he's 'fully' 'match' fit then hundreds of supporters start demanding to know why he's not in the team.
With Fallowfield demanding Hecky is sacked for not playing him.

Talking of FF I think he's related to Brian the Blade, who came on footie heaven last night, telling Hecky not to let Billy Sharp leave the club 😂

You may wish to criticise McB for his play, but to suggest that he can’t run faster than a jog is just rubbish.

1. What the fuck has this got to do with this thread.

2. Why are you bashing our best striker, and easily one of the top players in our squad and most talented players we’ve had in years.

You’re either a pig or blind. Either way, find the right thread to post in….and then log out don’t bother.

At any given time we seem to have 5 to 10 injured players and it's been like that for nearly 2 years now. Even with JOC no longer at the club the injured list is still long.

Having looked into it about 2 other PL clubs have the same if not more injuries than us at the moment BUT many of their injured players are expected back by the end of this month or September. With our players no one bloody knows not even Hecky it seems.

We couldn't afford to have that sort of injury list in the Championship and even less so now.
