...we have to start getting 3 points every game now.

I've looked at the fixture list for the next 2 months and, for me, we should be getting maximum points in 90% of them.

Our toughest games will be the one's at Rochdale and Brizzle this month, but other than that, I can see no reason why we shouldn't be getting 3 points from the rest, if we want to be up there come April!

One of the keys for me is getting a striker in the loan window.

The problem is that there arent enough tough games. We need to bring in the cup mentality to the league.

Oh and I thought we just bought a striker....

We will beat Colchester but to go on a run of victorys required we would need a radical change in tactics, formation and personnel on the pitch.

I don't see that happening anytime soon.

We should have got maximum points at Gillingham but we lost 2-0

Sorry but I really don't get this blind faith. There's zero substance in what you are saying.

So we need tougher games, and yet?

- Our record against the top teams in the league this season doesn't support that at all
- Our record against the 'average teams' in this league [who, according to NC "make it very difficult for us by putting 10 men behind the ball] doesn't support that.
- Our record in terms of blitzing those teams at the bottom [where we should pick up 3 points every day] doesn't support that???

Regards the 'clever' quip about a striker. Yes we pulled in our last minute, 3rd choice forward / midfielder from Rochdale however, you haven't got a scooby do how well Done is going to perform - no one does yet? The point SotonBlade is making [as you well know] is perfectly valid, simply that we need to see a major improvement in our performance/s 'up front', especially in terms of goals. Fingers crossed that Done can provide that but I'm not holding my breath. I'm not writing him off, obviously I hope he does fantastic but I don't know enough about him as yet. We don't know whether or not he's the answer to our lack of goals that many on this forum [and Mr Clough] say we need, so let's wait and see.

Lighten up sweetie, it was tongue in cheek ;)

It's not just up top where the problem is though, the defence is just as culpable if not more so. At Gillingham a bog standard punt down the middle, McEveley and Harris had switched off and they're in to score, and switching off and daft errors have happened all season. Now he's taken Doyle out of midfield is there anyone in the starting XI that is in anyway defensively inclined.

These games we should be winning in the next 2 months aren't going to happen because the spine of the team is far too weak.

Yep agree with that but up to recently, the defence has held up pretty well. Last couple have been pretty shite but given the lack of goals, Howard, Bash, McE and co have to deliver clean sheets almost every time in order to get anything out of a game. Week in, week out the pressure on them is tremendous and it isn't sustainable. Agree about Doyle.

"We will beat Colchester" oh my, hope the gods aren't listening.

FIFA 15 says Matty Done has something special.

That could mean he has skills and scores goals or that he has a mangina.

We all saw Scoogs on youtube bursting into the box scoring goals for fun.

Done looks good on youtube why shouldn't he replicate youtube for us?
