In the interview he did talking about his time at Reading he specifically mentioned how he changed the on field set up when he saw it wasn't working how he originally wanted to play,so it shows he is adaptable and willing to change formation/style to suit what he has,so I can't see why this wouldn't be the case now.

I wonder why?! Maybe it's wishful thinking but I think it speaks volumes that Selles said nothing on the incomings yesterday although as others have said some referred to Selles talking to them but I think it's highly likely that some or all of the signings yesterday were not by Selles and i think that might tell us something! I'm not itk by the way but I do think it says a lot in regards to Selles future. It's not like Bindon and Barry have excelled and we know these two were definitely Selles signings.

Agree, he’s actually a very impressive talker regards words. Reminds me of Pep Guardiola, appears to be an expert on tactics wanting to play football “the right way”. He’s speaks in a monotone emotionless way, almost like a robot but he ‘s very convincing regards his philosophy and your can’t help being excited.

The reservations start when the team is announced. I’m no expert but even I know that Sereki, Barry, Brooks and even Burrows can be excellent going forward but can be dodgy in defence and need support. We’ve all seen that Peck is good joining attacks but not the best at defending.

But you give Selles the benefit of doubt and assume he must have a grand plan. Then you watch the match and there are glaringly obvious issues. We struggle to create chance, the midfield doesn’t function and we sometimes look open at the back. It really looks like the players are confused and not sure what they are supposed to be doing.

After a while it does go through you head that maybe the manager doesn’t know what he’s doing but that’s crazy. Surely he has a tactical plan and is evolving/ learning from each match to make us better?

But only in the right moments.
