Your naivety is troubling!Think we might have just checked this is doable, before making any kind of offer.
Funnily enough I think that’s exactly something I think we wouldn’t do.Think we might have just checked this is doable, before making any kind of offer.
Even the experts don’t know! But god forbid we try to use chatgpt to help fact check![]()
The point is, I think, that the people employed by the club, who deal with these things should understand the law, how it functions and whether or not it's doable. We are not going to through all the hassle, at the last minute to realise that h
Who was that winger that we were signing on deadline day under Slav before we realised he couldn’t get a work permit? Not saying it’ll happen here under different ownership but just crossed my mind!Funnily enough I think that’s exactly something I think we wouldn’t do.

Without having any knowledge of what impact this has, if we’ve brought in the Bulgarian Right Back as a development player does he take an allocated slot if he’s not going to play for the first team anytime soon?

I believe not, which to me seems very sillyCan we send the right back out on loan to free up a slot?
All covered in my very dull video but the answer is no:Can we send the right back out on loan to free up a slot?
seems a bit odd to sign 4 development players and use up all the slots if our model is to sign players from abroad.I believe not, which to me seems very silly
GGEERRRRRRIIIIMMMMMIIIIINNNN
Here it is for anyone interested in this rather complex world
I guess it's harder to sign a first teamer and make money on them, you'd normally improve them to first team level and then make a profit (Brighton etc..)seems a bit odd to sign 4 development players and use up all the slots if our model is to sign players from abroad.
Surely you’d leave 3/4 gaps for first team players
I agree if you ask it a basic question with no follow ups, refinement or correction, then the first answer probably isn't going to be too valuable - but this isn't what I did... I just didn't know enough about the GBE/ESC system to validate the conclusion. This is the kind of thing where you need genuine expertise, not ChatGPT IMO.
I think most people’s issue with ChatGPT posts is that it’s so easy for anyone to do it themselves. It’s like someone posting “here are the first page of Google’s search results”. I could literally just ask the Q of ChatGPT myself.
I'm not an expert by any means, and this is just surface level stuff:Without having any knowledge of what impact this has, if we’ve brought in the Bulgarian Right Back as a development player does he take an allocated slot if he’s not going to play for the first team anytime soon?
Ie could we not just either loan him out or play for U23s and keep a slot available
No idea if it’s true, but the accounts got 5k followers. It’s above the obvious bullshit threshold.

If you want a laugh at how incompetent we are at this stuff. And the Alex Collado saga makes a special cameo appearance, too.
Maybe we've already had those conversations with the relevant parties? The problem for me is that there are questions on whether he would get a work permit, which would mean a lot of time arguing the case, without any guarantee of success, and with the time of the window closing drawing near we could end up being short in an area where we are dangerously short to start with, until January. Ok pursue this kid but get some players in now that will fulfil the criteria
Maybe we have, but I assume we had those conversations about soumare, and that took weeks to get over the line,Maybe we've already had those conversations with the relevant parties?
Maybe the deal just got leaked really early on, hence it seemed like it took a while?Maybe we have, but I assume we had those conversations about soumare, and that took weeks to get over the line,
Totally agree mate. I don't want to single out any posters in particular, but I can't get my head around how much football supporters have changed since the dawn of the internet / social media. Maybe I'm just an old git, but when did we all become sooooooooo opinionated, speaking (well typing actually behind the anonymity of a VPN and keyboard) about things we haven't got a scooby about. Everybody these days seems to be an expert in all aspects of football management and administration.Maybe the deal just got leaked really early on, hence it seemed like it took a while?
Point being that if you're not involved in these processes then there's really no way of knowing. Whilst it's easy to make jibes about the apparent slow-nature of our dealings I think we all just need to have some faith that the professionals we employ have a good idea of what they're doing. That's not a dig at you personally - just the notion that fans know best, when in fact we have a team of administrative and legal people who likely know far more than we will ever know.
Sounds like the worst Hovis advert ever!Totally agree mate. Oh how I long for a return to the days of 11am meetup in the Blue Bell (virtually every weekend game back then was 3pm Saturday ko), have a few around town, then mouch up to the ground via the Hoffenbrau - a couple more pints watching the strippers. Get into ground about 5 past 3 after a piss and a pie. The chat was about anything other than football! All we wanted was 3 points and a good laugh. We left the football matters to the people who knew far better than we did - ie the professionals employed to do that job.
I dunno. Sounds a lot better than pushing a bike up a massive hill.Sounds like the worst Hovis advert ever!![]()
