That we played badly and defended appallingly. Not happy with performance and lack of people attacking the ball. Said it had been highlighted & everyone at the club aware of it.

Nothing like that mentioned. It was all about us not being good enough, and apologising for the fans for the terrible performance.

Phew, sounds like a centre half definitely coming in ASAP. He does say moving forward quite a lot later on in the interview ha ha!

Not turning on him, far from it. But 4-0 at Gillingham is a bit more of a calamity than he's seeming to make out.
 
At least he has the balls to admit it and not say we will keep plodding on.

Time to fix it for next Saturday (not bothered about the League cup)

He said he tried to get something "over the line" for today but it just didn't materialise.
 
Well we had 1900 positive fans down there today so we know it's not the fans fault before anyone says it. Mind you it didn't take long to knock any positive thoughts out of them, I hear the team was booed off at HT and deservedly so by the sound of things.

Funny, yesterday when he said how excited he was, Adkins said we were ready and good enough... Must've been talking about the U21s at Buxton

In fairness so did clough when we lost heavily at Swindon.

He also binned Collins off... So there is a chink of light

What did you expect him to do? Set fire to his hair? Flagellate himself live with a copy of the Flashing Blade?
