we have to win tomorrow and im confident we will 2 - 0 to the blades

Just realised we've actually got 7 games in the space of 17 games in September. Amazing chance to turn the season around in a short space of time.

I dont want to get carried away now we have found our new Deane and Agana, but I reckon we will get at least 13 points from them.

2 point per game average required over the season.
The next three are games we have to win really as they are also teams we would expect to beat.
Win them and we are only 4 points away from that target.

We’re lucky that we have a run of 4 league games against teams low on confidence all struggling for form.

We have good players but they were all struggling to perform due to low confidence and pressure of expectation.
It’s not just about the win against Peterborough but the whole performance with the new players.

Ndiaye and MGW are highly confident, almost arrogant, it’s an ingredient that has been missing within our squad for so long,

A team hoping for promotion needs 10 points (9 points minimum) from these 4 games.
As long as we approach these games with the right attitude then a minimum 10 points out of 12 points is realistic.
Then we will be back in the pack within striking distance of the play-off places….and then our season starts back on track.

Tuesday at home to PNE now becomes a massive match and it will show if we are the real deal.

Many are understandably getting a little carried away after scoring 6 goals.
Was it us that was so good or was it more about Peterborough being a really poor team?
Was the Peterborough match the turning point where our season starts?
Will there now be similarities to the Wilder promotion season in league 1?
We had a terrible start, was near the bottom with low confidence. We had our first win beating Oxford then we go on a brilliant run of form.

We’ll get some answers on Tuesday.
Expect PNE to sit back trying to frustrate us…..another top quality performance with a convincing win and the band wagon will start to roll.
Really excited about going Tuesday night…and it’s been a while since i‘ve said that.

Fwiw Peterborough media are saying we were the best team they've played against, better than WBA and Cardiff.

"As poor as Posh were yesterday the Blades were the best opposition they’ve encountered by some distance. No long throws and no aimless hoofs a la West Brom and Cardiff. They presented different problems with clever movement, incisive passing and some high-class crossing"

To be honest ive seen us dominate Birmingham and Huddersfield so far.

Thought Birmingham did a tactical job on us, so organised in defence but they had nothing up front and hardly threatened.
However they deserved their win….but I can’t see them being better than mid table.

Thought Huddersfield were really poor, the gap between us and them was huge, for long spells they rarely got in our half as we dominated.
They did a smash and grab on us and i expect them to be battling relegation.

So imagine my surprise looking at the current table and seeing both Brum and Huddersfield in a good league position.
I’m starting to think that theres a gulf in standard between the PL and Championship.
West Brom aside. We look a level above the opposition in this league, once we sort our scoring I’m hoping we go on a long unbeaten run

I now think we’ll get another 3 points from the next 2 games so my prediction of 5 points will hopefully be wrong

if slav doesnt get that defence sorted out we wont get anything from the next 2 absolutely pathetic defending for prestons 2nd equaliser

Tough run and then Barnsley after these 4, hope we can avoid any further injuries.

I just look at the fixtures now and think, can't we just pause for a bit, have a fortnight off?

Now Baldock nursing a knock.

This is other clubs crying off due to COVID (some questionably) and us now carrying the slack and feeling the burden.

I think this next run of fixtures will expose our current injury situation and the points return will see us drop down a tad.
Hope I'm wrong, but the injuries will prove this seasons undoing.

We'll do OK against Forest at home, should see a point from that, apparently we've saved a few legs for the "big game" nice...

Looks like Middlesboro haven't taken well to Wilder bringing in a few players on 3 times what the average earnings were, so if they're still in-fighting over wages we have a good chance of all 3 points, think the core of that 1st team see the exit door in front of them, wilder loves a cull and his own lads doesn't he.

Cov should see a point, never a glamorous fixture for anybody..

Blackpool, it'll piss it down won't it, a place where time stood still and elvis never died, both teams slipping and sliding about to a 0-0 in the town that was brought to its knees by the xbox 360.

6 points DWDD

Fulham and Bournemouth are better than us. The points differential is evidence. Having seen the matches at Udders and at home to Blackburn, we cannot really claim to be better than them. And they have points in the bag. So I reckon we're in the group of about 6 or 7 teams aiming for 5th or 6th. Which is, at best, a 1 in 3 chance of getting a play off place. Then a 1 in 4 chance of winning those. Still a lot to do eh? Which is one reason I don't get carried away The others reason is a 55 year history of attending Blades matches. If it can go tits up, it usually does........
