As you're probably aware, we've been busy with the forum in the last couple of weeks trying to get everything ready for the new season. Threads have been posted throughout the forum, but I thought it prudent to summarise the improvements and changes.
The forum lay-out:
We've had a slight re-jig to make threads easier to find. A summary of what the separate forums are intended for is below. Please post in the correct forum and if you aren't sure, ask:
General Blades Chat - As ever, on-the-pitch discussion about the team.
Rumour Mill - Incomings, outgoings and player suggestions. Please check the Rumour Mill before posting about players in General Blades Chat and report and threads which require merging. Threads will be marked [Confirmed] as soon as we are able to.
SLO Feedback and Off The Pitch - This was set-up last season but we intend to utilise it more this season. This forum is for discussion of off-the-pitch matters as well as a place to voice comments, suggestions or problems which will be passed on to the Club at the SLO meeting.
New thread prefixes have been created to flag comments intended for particular departments at the Club, but do feel free to suggest others.
Please note: This forum was previously only visible to registered members. This has now been opened for public viewing.
Exiles, Away Blades and Social - This forum was quite neglected and sad, so we've renamed it with the idea that meet-ups, events, away match travel, pub advice, forum football and all the forum game threads (prediction league etc) go in here.
General Football and Sport - It's still there, just moved out of the Sheffield United chat section.

A reminder about the rules:
I hate having to remind you, but even if you forget everything else, please remember our one big rule - please use the forums with respect.
Some of you have got very sarcastic and spiteful recently, which isn't conducive to a respectful, sensible discussion and reflects badly both on this forum and the supporter base as a whole. Sometimes it's worth bearing in mind that if you haven't got anything nice to say, or cannot communicate your opinion without calling someone a "nob", then perhaps you should step away from the forum for a while. If someone has pissed you off, report it and let Foxy and myself deal with it as you are likely to fall foul of the rules yourself if you start throwing your weight around.
In terms of trolls or troublemakers, I know that some of you are very protective of this place, but please allow us to background check the individual and call shenanigans before pouncing... just so we can be certain.
