What you're saying is similar to what a mate of mine says, he blames it on voting for labour "because your dad voted labour all his life".. which seemed to be the mantra when I was 17..
To Quote Robbo, an Arsenal fan.. ffs.
"Manchester play it differently. They'll flip between parties and vote for each side, this makes the politicians work for their votes in that city, unlike in Sheffield where labour can sit back do nothing and watch the votes roll in.. in Manchester what's promised gets delivered because they know they'll be voted out if they don't, so the city prospers.. they've realised that all politicians are the same act the same and do the same, theyre all from the same schools, so they play them against each other to the benefit of the city"
So, as for the cocktails..
The festival thing is easily explained, somebody said it was around a tenner for a gin and tonic in the park and you can get 2 pints for that, that's how we think generally we divide the cost by the amount received, I did this at tramlines in West Street live by buying three bottles of Corona for 5 quid and making 2 pints out of them, saving 4 quid on the previous round we had in the forum, soon we were all drinking Corona, when you're out all weekend you need to stretch you money as far as it'll go.
As for United, excellent value for money across the board, those complaining should remember we've just spent north of 50 million this closed season, and for their season ticket money they are getting the best football this country has to offer, oh and some just want to find a problem, no matter how small it is it'll do for them, some just can't be happy..
You can always..
Not buy the programme.
Not use the bars inside the ground.
Not buy the replica shirts.
"Etc"
It's called "choice"
