The Americans can be rash and ruthless in their decisions don’t be surprised if he’s gone as soon as next week
Agreed - IF they do decide to make a change - it will all be done within a couple of days….that is how the US business world works.

Wilder is going nowhere
If his job was under threat we'd know about it through leaks from the club and his pals. As far as I can see there are no credible journos or ITK-ers reporting that he is to be replaced. The new owners will have scruitinised his record closely, and they may well have proposed a new recruitment policy - but I doubt they would sack a manager who accrued what would normally be enough points for automatic promotion immediately after a major rebuild.

Don't rule out Wilder falling out with them though.

It's hard to see these new owners replacing Wilder, they gave him a new contract in January when it was not sure where we would be next season, I could see them discussing it in January but I would have thought let's see where we are in May and then make a decision, so I'd guess that decision is we stick with Wilder.

There will likely have been a review clause in that contract probably at the end of the season in which the board can decide if he stays or not, I would imagine that is why it sounds like they are deliberating right now. No one knows what they will decide at this point, I’m not a fan of wilders recent football or antics but not totally against him staying if he can recapture his mojo from years ago, if we do make a change I just hope we have the right candidate ready to go and not end up with a desperation appointment as the weeks go by.

Monty with Sharp as assistant. Next season we can sack monty and bring in sharp as manager with Monty as his assistant. That should work, both spent many years playing for the Blades so will know the Blades way.
Also, replace Lester and bring in Brewster as striker coach.

I would think that the contract has clauses in it

Good point actually

Southampton sacked NA after double promotions to bring in Potachino (think I’ve spelt that right. - but tbh it might be a type of mushroom 🍄🟫?)
Southampton's board wasn't just coming in with very little previous experience of football though.
Markus Liebheer had owned the club for a few years, and had appointed Coetese alongisde him who had more experience and the contacts.
They'd both not just rocked up into sport they had little or no experience of and dump a currently successful manager (for the level they are at) within 9 months.

No idea but if it's Sean Dyche then I'm done.

I don't honestly mind if it's someone we've never heard of. Their ability to get us playing and IMPROVE the players is more important than if we've heard of them.

Great idea, let us know how many managers you’ve never heard of and…..oh!

Having read the posts on both sides of the discussion, across forums, regarding wildet, new manager etc

I think it's crucial that a decision either way, happens as soon as possible,

So we can get our recruitment right, for nxt season, for another promotion push, which is what the board said in their statement, which is our last season of parachute payments

Which is why if the rumour of a board decision, nxr week is true, then that can only be a good thing

If there is to be a change, then i would definitely go for rosenior, if he was attainable, if not then cooper

If it’s Cooper or Dyche we may as well keep Wilder.

If we genuinely want to grow up as a club and improve then it needs to be a bit of a departure from the norm. Some of our fans won’t like this because they won’t be English or ‘one of our own’ but hopefully those making the decisions can see it.

Not sure why Dyche seems like such an unappealing option? His teams are always hard to beat, and he not only got Burnley promoted at this level but also kept them up for several years- and even qualified for Europe with them in one season.

He doesn’t play the most attractive football, but it’s not like we’ve been doing anything like that for the past few years anyway.

If Wilder’s going to go; I could see it working.
