Surprised no-ones mentioned Phil Parkinson. AI would say 3 promotions in a row, works well with Americans and could build a team around Kiefer Moore. Could also get Billy Sharp as his assistant to win over any doubtersHecky, Warnock or Billy.
If only, last summer. Such a chance missed. We might not have got promoted this year (which we haven’t anyway) but we would now be 12 months down the road of transforming the club.Liam Rosenior…….again️
Wasn't he sacked by Hull for being drab and unsuccessful? If only, last summer. Such a chance missed. We might not have got promoted this year (which we haven’t anyway) but we would now be 12 months down the road of transforming the club.
He’s had quite a few good years as a coach from a young age. He was sacked by Hull because that’s what they do, nothing to do with being drab. If he’s not for you, fine, but he’s regarded in the way he is for very good reasons. I’d have actually taken him before he went to Hull, having kept an eye on him since he was at Brighton having been so impressed with how he spoke about the game.Wasn't he sacked by Hull for being drab and unsuccessful?
I may well be missing something, but it appears he's had one good managerial year, which is surely statistically insignificant?
I think he'd do a good job, but I wouldn't want to go and watch the type of football he'd serve up.Not sure why Dyche seems like such an unappealing option? His teams are always hard to beat, and he not only got Burnley promoted at this level but also kept them up for several years- and even qualified for Europe with them in one season.
He doesn’t play the most attractive football, but it’s not like we’ve been doing anything like that for the past few years anyway.
If Wilder’s going to go; I could see it working.
So did Ruben Selles, another good young manager who completely outwitted Wilder this season.Wasn't he sacked by Hull for being drab and unsuccessful?

100%This.
Wilder and Hecky bored the arse out of me with their "winning" football. Dyche would be even worse. The owners say they want to modernise us. There is nothing modern about Sean Dyche as a manager. His teams are awful to watch. Just because he's the biggest name available doesn't mean he's the right man. I'd rather try to shove a pineapple under my foreskin than watch the Blades managed by Sean Dyche.
Thought is was Matt Duke?AI said Grbic was a good goalkeeper..
This is what it states under the Google AI summary.
What about the second half then?Never seen a Dyche side play football like that first half at Wembley. Exactly which bit was boring?

Phil Parkinson would be an excellent choice in every way. Ever since his Bradford heroics he has gone from strength to strength, and knows how to create an exciting team but with discipline. More importantly, he has a huge desire to win.Surprised no-ones mentioned Phil Parkinson. AI would say 3 promotions in a row, works well with Americans and could build a team around Kiefer Moore. Yeah, not bad. Trouble is, you get f all for a half time lead. And the first half?
Monty, Didzy, the fucking list is endlessHecky, Warnock or Billy.
But thats the point. He’s conditioned to defending a lead and can’t seem to get a squad fit enough to play with intensity for 90 minutes. That suggests his whole approach is to get ahead, sub off the blowers and defend on the edge of our box - its shite and, tactically, proven to be a disaster. And the first half?
It was amazing, wasn’t it.Just watched that incredible Champion's League final!!!
The article below on the BBC website written pre the final is quire inspiring.
If the owners do sack Wilder, PSG's success may inspire them on the best way to move forward.

Uhm the point was that Wilders football was boring and that most definitely was not - in this context what is the relevance of the second half? (clearly I know we lost but equally clearly that was not the point.)What about the second half then?
Not the point was it.Yeah, not bad. Trouble is, you get f all for a half time lead.
Of course there are, unfortunately the ones who would come here are no where near as good as CW.There are no other football managers in the world, ever than Chris Wilder.
Sorry I thought the question was about the style of football. But thats the point. He’s conditioned to defending a lead and can’t seem to get a squad fit enough to play with intensity for 90 minutes. Did you not watch the second half last Saturday? Ffs.. diabolical, Wilder in a nutshell.
Cooper or Dyche are not an upgrade on Chris Wilder…Simple asIf it’s Cooper or Dyche we may as well keep Wilder.
If we genuinely want to grow up as a club and improve then it needs to be a bit of a departure from the norm. Some of our fans won’t like this because they won’t be English or ‘one of our own’ but hopefully those making the decisions can see it.

He's footballs boring and predictable.... getting fucking rid!Uhm the point was that Wilders football was boring and that most definitely was not - in this context what is the relevance of the second half? (clearly I know we lost but equally clearly that was not the point.)

You still herePhil Parkinson would be an excellent choice in every way. Ever since his Bradford heroics he has gone from strength to strength, and knows how to create an exciting team but with discipline. More importantly, he has a huge desire to win.
Massive plus/ He doesn't do karaoke in pubs !
Thanks for the intelligent response - well worth it.He's footballs boring and predictable.... getting fucking rid!
so who exactly would be better?
