New Manager ?

If only, last summer. Such a chance missed. We might not have got promoted this year (which we haven’t anyway) but we would now be 12 months down the road of transforming the club.
Wasn't he sacked by Hull for being drab and unsuccessful?

I may well be missing something, but it appears he's had one good managerial year, which is surely statistically insignificant?

He’s had quite a few good years as a coach from a young age. He was sacked by Hull because that’s what they do, nothing to do with being drab. If he’s not for you, fine, but he’s regarded in the way he is for very good reasons. I’d have actually taken him before he went to Hull, having kept an eye on him since he was at Brighton having been so impressed with how he spoke about the game.

But it’s all academic because he’s beyond our current orbit now in any case.

Not sure why Dyche seems like such an unappealing option? His teams are always hard to beat, and he not only got Burnley promoted at this level but also kept them up for several years- and even qualified for Europe with them in one season.

He doesn’t play the most attractive football, but it’s not like we’ve been doing anything like that for the past few years anyway.

If Wilder’s going to go; I could see it working.
I think he'd do a good job, but I wouldn't want to go and watch the type of football he'd serve up.

He'd want 11 Jack Robinson's in the team.

So did Ruben Selles, another good young manager who completely outwitted Wilder this season.

Selles has done a decent job in difficult circumstances at Reading & Hull, would definitely be on my list to look at.

This.

Wilder and Hecky bored the arse out of me with their "winning" football. Dyche would be even worse. The owners say they want to modernise us. There is nothing modern about Sean Dyche as a manager. His teams are awful to watch. Just because he's the biggest name available doesn't mean he's the right man. I'd rather try to shove a pineapple under my foreskin than watch the Blades managed by Sean Dyche.
100%

Phil Parkinson would be an excellent choice in every way. Ever since his Bradford heroics he has gone from strength to strength, and knows how to create an exciting team but with discipline. More importantly, he has a huge desire to win.
Massive plus/ He doesn't do karaoke in pubs !

Dyche seems to have a very short shelf-life as soon as things don't go so well. I think players at Everton were glad to see the back of him. They immediately turned it around under Moyes of all people.

Just watched that incredible Champion's League final!!!
The article below on the BBC website written pre the final is quire inspiring.
If the owners do sack Wilder, PSG's success may inspire them on the best way to move forward.

And the first half?
But thats the point. He’s conditioned to defending a lead and can’t seem to get a squad fit enough to play with intensity for 90 minutes. That suggests his whole approach is to get ahead, sub off the blowers and defend on the edge of our box - its shite and, tactically, proven to be a disaster.

It was amazing, wasn’t it.

What about the second half then?
Uhm the point was that Wilders football was boring and that most definitely was not - in this context what is the relevance of the second half? (clearly I know we lost but equally clearly that was not the point.)

Sorry I thought the question was about the style of football.

Did you not watch the second half last Saturday? Ffs.. diabolical, Wilder in a nutshell.

If it’s Cooper or Dyche we may as well keep Wilder.

If we genuinely want to grow up as a club and improve then it needs to be a bit of a departure from the norm. Some of our fans won’t like this because they won’t be English or ‘one of our own’ but hopefully those making the decisions can see it.
Cooper or Dyche are not an upgrade on Chris Wilder…Simple as

He's footballs boring and predictable.... getting fucking rid!

You still here

Lucky it didn't go to extra time then.
Surely only a fool woul not allow for that possibility.
