New Manager Needed ?

Wilder is tried and tested building a great team playing great football from scratch.

So he deserves a Summer pre-season to implement a system, so everyone learns and knows their roles.
If we've mid table or below at Christmas then he should be sacked.

Appreciate the results have been shocking....worse than under Heckingbottam
but performances are much better. At least we attack, create chances and look like scoring every game.
Under Heckingbottam we packed the defence just trying to keep the score down.

The positive from today is that for most of the match we looked slightly better than Forest.
We had more attacks and more chances, the 3-1 defeat was a fluke result really. Can't believe how fragile the defence is.
Next season might be more a mental challenge as some of these players will be suffering PTSD if we start badly.

Anyone noticed how miserable all the foreign lads have looked since he come in ? But he will move heaven and earth to renew sicknote Mcburnie because he’s one of lads innit.

He running the club like bradway wmc ffs.Bang out his depth.

What’s the point?

These players are useless.

I’d defy anyone to get a tune out of them.

They are completely incapable of doing the basics of attacking or defending and with the exception of a couple, are the most pea-hearted bunch I’ve ever had the misfortune of supporting.
I agree what is the point ? No matter who would come in there is no chance any manager could rebuild the squad with the amount there would be in the petty cash box . The team needs cash spending on it and where is that coming from ? With so many players at the end of their contract the cash will have to be spread thinly across the whole squad . We have witnessed in the last window what 5 or 6 mill gets you ,not a lot . Any manager worth their salt would not in the slightest be interested . We slipped up going 2 or 3 windows without refreshing the squad now it's a big job . Any bargains should be snapped up smartly before others get a chance (Rotherham keeper?) Lets not have a farce like the start of this season and leave it to the last minute to get players in having to play them without any pre season training giving other clubs a 5 game start . We are already mins 2 points .Wilder is who we are stuck with just hope our new recruitment team do a better job than the last lot .

New team needed Hecky couldn't get a tune out of then neither can Wilder at least with Wilder we look like scoring goals. Today was same as the last few games don't put away our chances and inevitably the defence goes to sleep and we get punished in the second half.

Not true...he could have given Osuala a chance to show if he might be the answer next season. Instead he played Archer who won't be here next season and can't hit a cows arse with a banjo.

He also continues to play a player who doesn't want to be here and can't defend anyway.

Wilder may not be the problem but is doing very little to help solve the problem
I think Osuala has had a few chances to show what he can do which looking at his goal tally is not a lot 0 . As for his choices regarding the defence he has not got any choices . His main defenders are all crocked Baldock ,Egan, R.N.D. plus his backup man Bash .No matter how many times you shuffle the pack he is left with the same players .

How have so many of us fallen into the trap of saying "we have no cash".....? Surely we should be asking "Why the fuck not... and where's it gone???".

3x seasons in Prem in 5 years.
2x parachute payments
Renowned for paying low wages (because we don't want to break the bank)
Renowned for low balling in the transfer market and for shopping in the bargain basement.

I realise that when we did spend 'big' (Berge, Brewster and McBurnie) it didn't exactly work out... but we more or less got money back on Berge and we sold our best player. Yet we end up defaulting on payments and start next season on -2pts and apparently with no realistic budget for a rebuild.

Just where has the money gone? Ipswich are rejoicing at going up. When we were in the same place last year we pissed our knickers and said "we're skint!" I doubt the other clubs who join us in going down will be approaching the summer in the same tin fucking pot way that we appear to be setting ourselves up for.

Just WTF????

Oh, and before anyone flames me..... I'm a bit upset 😉

You aren't wrong - where did it go?

The truth is, no matter what this season ended up being, we had spent future earnings before the season started.

Those who say otherwise, well, they are quite incorrect. The gamble was that the future earning would be premier league payments and not parachute payments.

The main issue now is that it's parachute payments that we don't have to rely on next season, so where does the money come from? We'll have an awful lot freed up because of those out of contract, but what replaces them? Are we in for good championship players, who will cost, or are we in for frees?

Cheers Danny.... 👍 but why on earth did we bank on (continued?) Premier league payments rather than parachute payments..... but then sell arguably our two best players without coming anywhere near to replacing them???

Hey ho... after 50+ years of following the Blades I should know better.

Regardless UTB and FTP!!!! OH, and fuck the Scabs as well!!! 👍

Probably due to the fact hecky had Bennie traore whilst wilder gets BBD 😂

If you think Osuala is the answer,I dread to think what the question is!

In defence of Wilder he put out a team that could win and created enough chances that it should’ve.

They were good enough in the championship.

They are simply not robust enough for 90m the prem
That's not really true though, is it? Take Berge and especially Ndiaye out of the team last year, and we would have struggled.

If he's ready for a new challenge post Euros - Steve Clarke for me.
