New Kit...

i realy hate bad quality football shirts because they are expensive in comparison to other tshirts!

were going mad when i bought my reading kit last november because it seems to be of poor quality whilst other kits i have for years now seem to last lifelong

havent washed my sufc home kit right now (just arrived on tuesday though) but i will keep my eyes on it. hope the sponsor frame wouldnt be that bad after a few washs.

btw the mostro sweater seems to be top class in either quality and look. :)

I went for number 2 - number one looks too much like this year's and I'd prefer a change.

Think the dark red looks horrid tbh...

Might be the best sponsor but it looks wank on the shirt. The bit of gaffer tape look wouldnt look good on any shirt.

Could be a lot worse mate.
Its a relatively small sponsor in comparison to some other teams, and also previous kits we have had.

i would like the new kit to be closely similar to the current one.. no one in germany will recognize that i wear an old shirt then ; )

Number 2 here as well. Definitely want the stripes. Prefer the traditional red to the redcurrant also. I just hope the quality's better than this season's - I've got to take my away kit back tomorrow.

While we're on the subject, anyone else think we should have yellow shirt, red shorts and red socks as our away kit next season?

can't put it better myself

I'd certainly like a yellow or fluro shirt again :D

I had to get mine stuck back on at the shop this morning on my away kit. Fair enough, they did it for free, but I wasn't the only person getting the sponsor fixed

what happend to your sponsor?
how often did you wash your shirt?

It seems the Proper players shirts have a different grade of sponcer on the front. My HFS on the 2005/06 home shirt has started to show stripes through it. The Players strips I own with the same HFS seem alot thicker and the colours more darker.

My sons New Capital one shirt now thats a whole new story. The ' Hulse' on his back is starting to lift. This is the Flexy PVC numbers/letters also the Capital one in the white bits is starting to see Stripes through it. I only got it him for Christmas at a cost of £50 and it's been washed 3 times on a 30degree wash & inside out.

My 1993 Umbro one ( one that the stripes never matched up, we wore to Wembley with SWFC) is as good now as the day it was bought from Suggs :D

Both my sons have sent back away shirts this season for sponsor coming off af ter only 1 or 2 washes. Woman in the shop came back at him with some bollocks about not using conditioner as it affected the glue on the strip. Cheap rip-off stuff from le coq more like!!

I don't know why they can't screen print them direct to the shirt or use the flexy flock stuff like the LAVER's were when umbro made the shirts.

I am a printer by trade and i've done a few shirts for local kids teams, this included names, numbers and sponcers. We've had no returned and truth be said they have stopped on longer than the proStar felt logo of the makers.

It's cost us £25 to print 14 shirts to match ready and that includes cutting cost of the material ( as it comes on a 2ft roll, it gets plotter out with a computer cutter)

If a Small printing ferm can do this as a favour for the local teams then why can't a Mighty club/Kit maker get it right at stuff £50+ each. I means it's not hard, it's not new and it's been done for the past 20 years.

I got me lad a shirt from the Lane the new 2006/07 one and had it printed. Then i got a shirt of ebay new with tags, 2004 DESUN home. I had Lane one printed at the Lane with 100% real Prem numbers and arm patches. Thats now started to lift and needs ironing back down after a wash.

The DESUN off ebay i took to work and did it myself. I did take it to the shop for printing but they wouldn't do it as it was old stock and if messed up couldn't replace it. So whipped it into work, printed #7 on it and me kids name. It's been washed 20+ times as she wears it stright after school ( and she's even worn it under the school jumper in school) The numbers are still stuck and stuck that well as you can see the weave of the material in the plastic.

Sort it out please !!!!!! me kids heart broken that his shirt keeps falling apart

Could be worse it already is the shirt is falling to bits. Its one thing having a shirt that looks shoddy buts its even worse when it actually is shoody. The sooner we get a better kit sponsor the better. Le Coq Shitty have only ever made one shirt thats actually lasted me and its this one.

We are premiership club and there are shitty league 1 teams with better shirts than us.

I'll be honest, it's very rare a shirt of mine falls to pieces. Think the only problem I had over last few seasons was the "place matt" HFS loans sign on the earlier 2004/2005 shirt, but they rectified that shirt with a print by end of the season.

The only other one i can think of having problems with, was the millenium shirt (6 years old now) Where the sponsor only started coming off last year.

Perhaps you are washing them wrong?

I followed the instructions on mine, and it still messed up. I hope I don't lose the name and number off the back too. The lady in the shop told us that a lot of people were having the same problem.

My Desun one's still in good nick!

well at least i will try to wash my home kit as rare as possible :(

but i dont understand the problem with player name + number as the BPL print is the same for any time, so why is it messed up on sufc kits?

Main problems when names/numbers come off is that it is not "ironed" on properly in the first instance.

Also if you have your washer temp on too high this may cause problems too.

Nah m8 i think most follow the washing instructions right and they still fall apart. Le Coq Shitty have always made crap shirts and the sooner we get a decent kit sponsor the better. The club is just blatently ripping the fans off with these shoddy shirts.

Have driven past shop today & the "redcurrant" is one shade off purple - it's horrible!
