New 3rd kit

United have always had a habit of producing disgusting away strips. I can think of a good 4 or 5 hideous ones in my lifetime. Shame about this strip as its unnecessary. The second one is quite smart and is all we need.

Please send that one back!

The only redeeming feature is that there isn't a big oversized square to house the sponser like on the home shirt (where they could have used a white stripe for the top bit of the sponser.)

And that's all. Because the colours, design and having a luminous badge all make me mad and give me a slight headache.

Oh yes the Avec ones were great.

Thank God we have such a brilliant partner in Micron. Apparently, we get lots of input into this rather than having our badge put on any old shite like the bellers at Adidias or Umbro do.

BUT - massive tick to SUFC for the Amnesty idea.

Dear Macron,

I would like to apply for the post of head of design.

I believe I have many skills which would serve to enhance your product design. The skills include, but are not limited to:

Full use of both of my eyes
Opposable thumbs
A BSc Hons Degree in Crayola Operations

I believe these skills will allow me to stand head and shoulders above your current design team of Acid fed chimpanzee's and 3 year old children.

Kind Regards,

Presty.

Why do we need to have a "required option to the first and second kits"? I recall Everton bringing out a third kit a couple of weeks back despite having a pink away kit meaning there was no chance whatsoever of the third kit ever being required.

I know it's obviously another method of screwing a little bit more money out of the fans but I didn't realise it had been specified a requirement, presumably by the Football League.

Rumours are that we shall be playing in that kit all the time from now on because it reflects the drab, grey, dull, lifeless, insipid performances on the pitch.

JW looks a reight twat in it, pictured on the offy site as well.

I think the £5 concession is pretty safe.

Its rubbish like most things to do with us at the moment. Id go as far as saying it one of those kits where in years to come we will talking about gary speeds first season where we were shite and people will just go "and we had that terrible 3rd kit"

Christ, with this much damning criticism you'd think there was an owl on it.

We'll never play in it. Its a pub shirt, goes with jeans and trainers for fecks sake...

I don't really care what our third shirt looks like, but still... They could at least have ironed the fecking thing.

Kit man out!

Gives people summat to moan about doesn't it ,we haven't had any moaners for ages.
Just waiting for someone to moan about the thin letters in the stand behind Ward ,fucking disgrace.

i think if we donated a load of these to a poor african country they would send them back!

anyone that wants a shirt ( i'm thinking people that bump into things without the help of a dog ) just needs to wait 3 or 4 months then they will be a tenner each

Dunc, if you like it then FINE. Why not say so instead of your usual snide go at people who don't?

I haven't bought a shirt since I packed in playing years ago so it won't make the slightest difference to me. However, I reserve the right to look at ANYTHING on the planet and decide whether I like it or not. Try it Duncy, it's what not living in North Korea is all about.

I think what Dunc is getting at is that everything (and I mean everything) that comes out of the Lane is greeted with unbelievable negativety and ridicule ,usually by the same people time after time. Any excuse to slag the club off, I know there are some infiltrators but why not try putting a positive angle every now and then ,I thought we were meant to support the club. Unfortunately a lot of this is making this site like Radio Sheffield and becoming tedious, driving interesting posters away.

Constant negativity may be tedious, but not half as tedious as people who do nothing but complain about it (and I wouldn't put you in that bracket Sitwell).

There are some posters on this board who literally post nothing except complain about things that people like Ollessandro post. If you don't like it, write something positive yourself, if such a thing is possible in the present climate.

And I'm sorry, but that shirt does not look very nice, but it won't affect me as I have stopped buying them over the last 3 years or so due to their extremely poor quality. I have Umbro shirts from the early 1990s that have worn better than kits I bought 3 years ago.

It's a shirt! You either like it or you don't. Why does anyones opinion of it matter enough to anyone else to have a go at them for it?

It strikes me it isn't "the usual suspects" who are not happy with it (as I'm not obsessed with who these people are I could be wrong but I'm assuming Olly and Len are in there) but it is certainly the same person who is jumping straight at them for not liking it.

Didn't Man Ure ditch a similar one after half a game?

It looks like a goalkeepers shirt if anything. The first I saw of it was on FIFA, where my friends all pointed out it was hideous, while I sat there and said we don't even have a 3rd kit! Seems I may well be eating my hat after all...

good point well made, but the shirt is a bit shit though isn't it?

Well he have the worst team in years, now we have the worst kit! Seems very fitting!

i do like the 3rd kit than the away kit but WHY do we need 3 kits?
they change them every year and our 3rd kit will only be played in once.
i really don't see the point having 3 kits.
