Can you imagine Adkins giving a bollocking like this? Me neither...
I actually don't think that would be the case ,Warnock has himself alluded to the fact that it is the type of roll that would suit him so he would be semi retired and not spend too much time at the club ,certainly not doing his hair on fire routine on the touchline but a Fergie type fatherly eye from the stand and more time with Sharon and the tractor. Wilder would have to have the final say ,but he could certainly use Warnock and his thick skin when needed. We don't need someone who will only do it for a year.
We need the new improved Warnock, Mr Wilder.
The problem with Warnock being DoF is that the players know it's really him in charge and they can do what they like because Warnock would take over. Needs one boss only, especially in the position we are in.
Listen mate I would have agreed 100% with you up to a few weeks ago and I am deffo not a sacking and changing type. Wilson and Clough would never have got the push from me. But time doesn't come into it when you look at the state the club is in ,it almost David Weir groundhogday. I know its a massive decision and not one that will be taken anyway ,but imagine in November and we are in the bottom half of the table with a similar line up ,what happens then when we a new boss cant get anymore players in or out ?I can see the very real nightmare scenario of Adkins getting sacked/resigning, succeeding wherever else he goes next, and the next manager we get having to contend with the utter shambles this club is right now. And the process repeats itself indefinitely.
This pattern has to stop, he needs the summer and first three months of next season to assemble a team that can be called his. Then any criticism can be truly justified.
He took two clubs out of this league and upwards. Clubs from two ends of the spectrum: An unfancied, permanently struggling Scunthorpe and a fairly big, well supported club in Southampton. He's no mug, and nobody just stops being a good manager.
The playing staff at United are the biggest bunch of nomarks ever to grace the club, many of whom were here before him. Blaming Nigel Adkins alone for the clubs current situation is ridiculously short-sighted.
Indeed. A punch in the bollocks is still a punch in the bollocks, even if you get a Creme Egg after.

How about we give him till November to see if that happens, rather than assume it'll happen despite him having the chance to reshape the squad this summer? The gamble of starting from square one again with a new manager is greater than sticking with him till Christmas in my view. There is absolutely nobody feasible out there that is a guaranteed promotion-winner for us next season – everyone's to some degree a gamble.
If we are in that position in November then there will be a strong case for sacking him, of course there will.
But I can't imagine that any other manager will be able to improve our situation whilst most of these toxic players and the loser culture that goes with them are still here.
It all hinges on this summer, if he can't put together something like a decent squad and get rid of these clowns then he'll have to be on his way. But he at least deserves a summer, in my view at least.
The problem being that he will bring in or re-employ many new players in the summer , which a new manager may not want ,and judging by his acquisitions so far its not looking brilliant. Clean slate in the summer plus the rest of the season to look at the players in the club ,would be far more advantageous surely. I have been to about 90% of the games this season and honestly only at Peterboro early on have I ever thought things were looking good. Hope that wasn't his Weirs Notts County game. How about we give him till November to see if that happens, rather than assume it'll happen despite him having the chance to reshape the squad this summer? Again, not denigrating his achievements at Southampton, far from it, he did spectacularly well there. But it was reaping the harvest while the going was good - not having to deal with adversity at all.
...his pre match interview on RS today compared to Warnocks, fucking miles short of where he should be,

Why is it the culture of the team rather than the manager though ? You say he has had a full season to see the team ,when it has taken you about a doze games to see Woolford and Hammond. Sharp was hardly managerial genius to be fair either. Just being devils advocate but its not difficult to shoot him down althoughI know you are just giving the alternative point of view. His signings have brought mixed results, he signed our current top scorer and Sammon initially showed promise before nosediving terribly (interesting to note that the longer a player stays in this squad the worse they become, Brayford being the latest case in point, which points to the poisonous culture in this team). Woolford and Hammond.....I can't defend those, terrible signings.
But he now has the advantage of seeing what this team is like over the course of the season, which is why I believe/hope the summer will yield better results.
I've always been a fan of Warnock, but let's not pretend all the forwards he signed worked out. Horsfield, Hayles, Onuora, Shelton immediately spring to mind. We have lots of memories of strikers that turned out brilliantly for us under him, but he did sign about 80.
If you get in a contractor and he bodges you up a bungalow, would you then give him license to build you a three story house? His signings have brought mixed results, he signed our current top scorer and Sammon initially showed promise before nosediving terribly (interesting to note that the longer a player stays in this squad the worse they become, Brayford being the latest case in point, which points to the poisonous culture in this team). What a fucking disgraceful shithole that Leppings Lane end is. What must away fans think approaching that pile of shit?

Of course McCabe appointed Warnock tooRemember the quote "Neil wasn't suitable for our Premiership ambitions" ?
Then we appointed Bryan Robson. Another McCabe gem. I still think he's got something up his sleeve that will top all his mental decisions. This new not signing players theory is a cracking start
How many piggies are saying in their heads tonight;
Fuckin Warnock.
Thanks Neil
