I can’t see past Dyche it would take something to get him here though but like Wilder he has a ‘Follow me lads’ attitude where they run through walls which plays to our Northerness. I’d imagine he’d want plenty of dosh to get him here.
There’s so much snobbery in football. It’s doesn’t half blinker folk.

Dyche would be unbelievable as an appointment. His ability to optimise resources is second to very few.

It’s annoying when some fail to recognise the style he adopts isn’t in some way aligned to the resources he has at his disposal. Playing exactly how Pep plays against Pep’s team is only going to garner one result. So you have to be smart and work on alternatives. He’s done that.

Only problem is, he’s just as likely to get the call form a Prem team that has made a bad start, than a Championship one.

By that same reference to snobbery, we’ve gone that way with anyone who has a Blades affiliation.

Monty would have been just as acceptable an appointment as Sellés. He’s actually won something in Australia. It was against the odds too. He built something there. He brought through youth.

Having your team competitive doesn’t mean we play negative kick and rush football all of a sudden. It didn’t work out at Hibs. That was a pity. But he is more qualified than Sellés to have gotten the job really. Timing may be off too as Forest have Juan appointed him and his assistant to Postecoglou’s staff. But he too should be a legitimate candidate.

Next Bladey Blade manager?

One who has managed a team to a title. One who was assistant coach at a team that won a European title.

Cometh the hour, cometh the man.

Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you the next Bladey Blade manager with a proven track record (in Australia) and still alive, Sir Nicholas “Monty” Montgomery…….
