Yea like typhoidCollins has had far more out of the club than we've had out of him, but I wish him well (unless he really was a bad influence).
I'm going to miss the Collins and Doyle era though...
Thanks Neill and goodbye, but this exit should've happened a long long time ago
It can be pretty humid in the saunas on Attercliffe Rd...oopsSwapping living in Sheffield for Tampa, I bet that took a lot of thinking about! Having said that, the humidity in the summer in Florida is a bit grim.
I wish I could say that now Collins has gone, we won't leak anymore soft goals. . . . . . But we will.
The problem is and always has been our limp-wristed midfield. They simply never offered the back four any protection what so ever.
Earning a few grand a week ,living and playing football in Florida. Jammy twat how the hell has he managed that.
For a minute there I thought it said stop shouting and thought you were referring to Neil Collins.Stop pouting.
Can't blame the guy - he has two young children and this represents a great opportunity for him - Good Luck Neil Collins
Of the move and his time with the Blades, Collins added: "These opportunities only come along once in a lifetime and it was the right move for me and my family at this point in my career, I am indebted to the club for allowing me to take up this opportunity.
"There have been some devastating lows but some fantastic highs during my time at Bramall Lane and there is no question that once a Blade always a Blade - this wonderful club has a way of getting under your skin.
"I'd like to thank the players and staff I had the pleasure of working alongside. There are so many fantastic people working behind the scenes that deserve to see the club back where it belongs along with the long suffering fans who are the most loyal in the country.
"Thank you for the memories and all the best in the future."

He played more games for us than that lot put together. The fact that Collo counted some decent teams amongst the list he played for, Wolves, Leeds, Sunderland, PNE suggests that he must have had something about him. Time was right and he goes with my best wishes.
Sorry B in B, I thought you said humility.Swapping living in Sheffield for Tampa, I bet that took a lot of thinking about! Having said that, the humidity in the summer in Florida is a bit grim.
But he didn't did he ,he didn't listen to instructions ,giving all is a team game ,playing your own game isn't giving all ,bit like our friend Jose. Actually apart from Doyle I cant think of anyone who has over the past 2 seasons consistently. Some shameful comments in here. Maybe he wasn't good enough, but that isn't his fault. One thing you could say about Collins that you couldn't about hardly any of the squad we have now was that he gave everything when he pulled on the shirt. Good luck to the bloke.
Oh come on. Collins' effort and work rate was the only thing stopping me from giving him as much grief as the others. It's one thing to try your best and it not being enough, it's another to not give a shit. I'm not saying he was a brilliant player, because he wasn't good enough along with most of the squad at the moment, I just don't think you can say he didn't give a shit, because to me he obviously did.But he didn't did he ,he didn't listen to instructions ,giving all is a team game ,playing your own game isn't giving all ,bit like our friend Jose. The other part is when he put the shirt on ,he had a tens of thousands off you and me for doing nowt.
Listening to him on RS this evening was quite enlightening. He spoke of the team being a soft touch (not his words) at BDTBL. He said that in Danny Wilson's first season this certainly wasn't the case.
Several months ago I posted that no one at the club knows what it means to be a Blade. (I even praised Megson for taking would be signings to the top of their kop to impress them(!))
I cannot see how a Yank, a Turk and a guy from the Middle East can possibly understand what it means to be a Blade. Adkins certainly doesn't understand.
Curtis Woodhouse and Dane in recent weeks have touched upon this.
It's time someone at the club took responsibility and pointed out what we are all about and that culture being impressed upon everyone connected to the club.
If Collins is being demonised on here then I would like to take this opportunity thanking him for speaking out tonight.
You never know if anyone in authority is listening this could be his legacy.

I have said this for years , if I was manager every player would spend time with Garrett or rooker and be taught the tradition and history of Sheffield United accompanied by some real fans like any of us or foxy and a pig to show what the rivalry and city is all about and an ex player who has the passion. Might nip into the butchers and pick up a pair of bollocks too.Listening to him on RS this evening was quite enlightening. He spoke of the team being a soft touch (not his words) at BDTBL. Why's it taken him 5 years to speak out then ?
I didn't like/rate Kilgallon ,but even he was streets ahead of Collins. Morgan was some player.Good by, and good riddance... He can be nice about a club that he made a million from, I would...bottom line is we used to see jags n Morgan in his spot..he wasn't fit to clean their boots ...
The future might be bright, the future might be...orange Nigel ??
