I decided to look at the fixtures for the World Cup and dug up some other potentially bad-for-us fixtures along the way.
Senegal have Ecuador, Holland and Qatar in their group. I have a big hope that Holland and the national fervour of the host nation, coupled with some dodgy refereeing will see them knocked out.
Should they progress and be knocked out in the round of 16, he could potentially be away and playing until the 6th of December, arriving back jet-lagged and knackered for the Hudderfield (H) fixture on December 10th.
If they progress to the quarters and get knocked out, he will miss that match but play no later than the same day as us and hopefully be back, refreshed and fit to play against Wigan (A) on Monday 19th.
Should they make the semis - and there's often a wild card side that does, win or lose, he will be in no position to play in the Wigan game, as the 3rd and 4th place game is on the 17th and, if the unbelievable were to happen, the final on the 18th, so hopefully back fit and well for Boxing Day. Another one to watch for the World Cup - if the commentator says looks like Ndiaye is getting stripped for Senegal - one of their most recent internationals saw FIVE Ndiaye's in the squad, so don't get excited about seeing a Blade in the WC until you know its the right one coming on! 🙃

Now to the extra bit of bummerdom. If he impresses at the WC, there are three ANC matches in one clump in January that could see him miss the home games against Stoke and Hull, returning for the away game at Reading, hopefully intact and injury free.
I'd love him to have a great international career but I'd rather have him in the red and white, let's hope he it doesn't wreck our promotion hopes.

Doubt very much he will be sold if we have a chance of going up.
If he does not sign a new contract and we do not have the option to extend it by 12 months he will go next year regardless of which division we are in.

Good effort to research that. I’d completely overlooked the ANC fixtures. Bollocks!

Will be a difficult one for the lad. Gotta represent your country whenever you can and as best you can, but gotta try to progress your career in the club world or it all plateaus.

It’s only a 6 hour flight and a 3 hour time difference, he’s not going to Mars. I’m more worried that he gets injured if he gets much time on the pitch.
He'll take no more than a day to adjust to the time zone and not even that if he plans a bit.

The ANC news is shit

No one would of blamed the Prince (some definitely would) if he sold Berge to steady the ship a bit financially this summer, he didn't he sees the potential of us going up this year. Ndiaye is a lot more important to us than Berge is. If Ndiaye's agent is holding back on a new contract the responsible thing to do is sell him if we don't go up

He’s s professional athlete he will be fine.

Jeez a few years ago I flew to Australia and back within 8 days and I’m in my fifties

He's not guaranteed to be in the WC squad but I'm 99% sure they'll call him up for the AFCON games

If he impresses in the WC I wouldn’t worry about what he’s up to in January because he won’t be with us 🤣

On the other hand. He could have a great World Cup, scores some goals, develop as a player, come back to lane and fire us to promotion………🤷‍♂️

but the problem with it is makes him a 40 million player.

His agent will be saying to United and other clubs paying him £100K a week is a bargain.
That works out at 5 million a year x a 4 year contract = just £20 million to the player and zero transfer fee.
Much better to let his contract wind down as he’s pretty much gauranteed £100 K a week if he leaves us.

Does any think SU would offer him £100K a week?
We’ll need to be really creative and put in clauses that are pro the player and detrimental to SU.

Actually, the Carrier Bag Firm MySpace has lit up. Not everyone has this poster on ignore apparently. But, I'm being told it's that cunt again.

Sad to hear, in my last interaction with you, we had a cordial discussion about plum porter.

Now I know how Julius Caesar felt.

He only played a few minutes in the second of two friendlies they recently had..I'm not concerned about him being tired after the world cup based on that fact.
I think some are underestimating the lads stock. He will get a lot more minutes and wouldn’t surprise me if he isn’t one of the first names on the team sheet very shortly for them. The lads a baller of very high magnitude.

Thankfully, AFCON 2023 doesn't take place until January 2024

He's not a first choice for Senegal, and they'll probably get knocked out in the group stage, so I reckon he'll just be doing a bit of light training in the sunshine and living in a posh hotel for 3 weeks 'til he has to come home. No alcohol so he can't get wrecked. Should come back nice and rested......
