Can I ask why there's a rumour thread on Ndiaye? Is he coming back?!
Some people never quite get over the ex who was out of their league and dumped them for a more handsome bloke with more money, a better car & a bigger dick. If only they could have another chance things could be different…

Just over a year ago Iliman Ndiaye was a hero, some Blades saying he's the best player we've ever had, and was due to become the best paid player we've ever had.

After a pretty disastrous year at his "hometown" club he's now dealing with this from his new fans:

What a set of morons. Thankfully it's a minority. I can understand them being upset at the result but carrying on like that is ridiculous and exceedingly childish

I get he's significantly richer than he was, but surely he's got a few regrets about leaving us?

That's absolutely fucking rank behaviour. If Blades were ever caught doing that to our own team I'd be disgusted.

Should have stopped at the lane and enjoyed his football career, instead he listened to his agent and chased the money, the Mairseille thing was a load of bolloxs. Turned into a greedy bastard! Fuck him!! Enjoy next season in the championship 👍
He’s did what he believed was best for him and his family nowt greedy about that it’s what anyone in their profession would do

I take it you weren’t at Bury away for the game where Jose Baxter was drug tested?
Was probably there but can't remember anything about it - not because of a drug addled mind but just a poor memory for some things (I do remember that wet miserable night at Bury when Adkins was in charge though!).

It was absolutely toxic. The players set off towards the away end at full time and were met with dogs abuse. They stopped well before they got to the penalty are with plenty of fuck offs and wankers ringing in their ears after one of the worst displays l’ve ever seen and the worst l’ve seen our fans turn on the team.

Ironically Baxter, who was arguing with our players when leaving the field, was about the only one who put in an acceptable performance.

Spot on analysis. The players are used to the fickle element but even they were shocked at the vitriol that came from the terraces that night. Vicious isn’t a strong enough word for it. I watched us plummet to the fourth division and it wasn’t as bad as that night at Bury. Baxter and George Long the only acceptable performers (could easily have been 4 or 5 if it wasn’t for Long). Not a happy clapper in sight that night yet with Atkins it was like water off a ducks back (literally)

I'm not fond of Ndiaye after the way he left but "went missing" is wide of the mark - one of his best qualities was how much he'd get involved even when he wasn't having a good game.

Jack Grealish has a similar quality, whatever you think of the guy.
Ndiaye was always a player to track back and try and recover the ball. Probably one of his traits that really endeared him to fans.

The other thing I remember about that night was two blokes signing ‘Derek Dooley’s wooden leg went floating down the Don’ for a good half an hour in the second half. Only fond memory of what I think is in my top 3 worst Blades performances, at least at that level.

Imagine it guys:

It's January, the takeovers been done and we're fighting it out for promotion. Logging onto S24SU you see a little green "confirmed" pop up on General Chat. Click on it and there's a screenshot of Ndiaye holding up a Blades scarf after being out of favour for half a season at Everton...

Had a chance to look at records of that season. I was definitely there but remember it more for the difficulty of getting there in poor weather on the M62, struggling to find parking near the ground and getting soaked by the time I got to the ground! Remember no details of the game but remember being very pissed off at the end because of the difficulty getting there and the dire performance

He grew up 9 hours drive from marseille, he could have got to sheffield quicker by car ...
All this boy hood club seems a bit far fetched, I doubt he was a regular on t kop

It might not last, but you have to enjoy the little things.

Ironically our fourth game was against Everton where we picked up our first point of the season.

I do miss him.

(I've had a beer)
Yes it was very bittersweet watching his jinking runs….just like the old days.
Our old boys Illi and Calvert-Lewin were causing havoc until Dyche had a brain fart and took em both off. The collapse was shocking but quite laughable.
