Fortunately, we won't Need a wonder strike against the Wendys. Just stroll nonchalantly through their totally ineffectual defence and tap in from a yard or two out. Worked for Burton.

Just disappointed that wilder didn't talk much about it or him. Just seemed to say it was good but then went on to something else. Thought he played well and should have more of a chance getting on bench at least rather than loaning him out. Not many of our players take a chance outside the area

Don't understand why we haven't seen a bit more of him recently. We've been chasing games more often, and he looks to have a few things in his locker that may give us something different. It's clear he's still raw, but I don't mind if he loses the ball a few times if we get the odd wonder strike that gets us a point or wins a game

Perfect opportunity for him to stake a claim and he’s done that. Couldn’t be more pleased for him. Having said all that did he do anything else of note?

Especially considering that he's only played twice and has 2 goals. Where as players like carruthers, Lavery and a few others who seem to get chances to make a mark keep failing

Think that’s harsh on Lavery personally he’s been out injured but If Thomas did perform today I’d imagine he has moved above Carruthers. Wilder likes a player who takes his chance when presented with it.

I don't necessarily mean this season with lavery. No one can question his effort but for me he doesn't get enough goals for a striker. Doesn't even shoot enough

Yeah I thought this was odd. He just said it was a good goal and seemed like he wanted to move on.

Wonder if something has gone on with Thomas.
