Just to point out, West Ham CANNOT talk to Fleck without permission from his contracted club.

If they have, they are in breach of FA rules (not that that matters anymore I guess if you're a Premier League club).

I think it’s a misunderstanding. I haven’t seen any suggestion that Fleck has spoken to them.

Of course we know the clubs have indeed spoken if only to the extent of “£Xm for Flecky?”
“No”.

Every club in the country would breach that rule. Tapping up either directly or through the agent is common practice. Its a nice rule in principle but near impossible to police and absolutely impossible to stop.

But tapping up wouldn't be reported by Skysports as 'we understand West Ham are in talks with John Fleck'.

They aren't. They're in talks with Sheffield United regarding John Fleck.

Can they talk to his agent though?

That’s stopped them before.... *cough*

No 1 target is Neal Maupay. Initial interest in Kalvin Philips, Joe Allen ( in last year of contract ) and Daniel James. Although realisation it’s a big wish list. Henderson to return on loan nearly sorted, and a free transfer back up keeper to be signed. All other loanees to return to parent clubs.

Anything on McBurnie or Callum Robinson?

Had 3 wanks already since you posted that.

Slightly disappointed if Henderson is only a loan, but it was always going to be a big ask to get him permanently.

I’d be more than happy to sign any of those 4 mentioned!

What’s news regards Madine? Do you know if we are interested in bringing him back?

Maupay - foreign, cost about £20m.... very surprising. Even if he'd appear an obvious choice.
Phillips - exactly Wilder's type of player. Depends on Leeds not going up.
Allen - thought his wages would rule us out but he's a quality player.
James - very ambitious, we'd do well to beat bigger fish to his signature.

Not surprised Wilder's aiming high though, it's been the same for a while now in transfer windows.

Can’t stand Madine and not sure where he’d fit into our system. We have Clarke for that role? He’s also a shithouse and has been a nob to our club and captain on more than one occasion. Why even risk upsetting Billy whilst he’s in the form of his life?

Perhaps the players could make a song up for him and let him know he's a cunt?

I don't let my love for the Blades affect my moral judgement on players. I won't suddenly start liking Madine if we sign him. I think he's a detestable human being and I don't care how good he is, morals DO come before football for me. I think it would be a disastrous move if we sign him - he'll cause upset in the dressing room and I just don't think it's worth taking the risk.

Let's hope this is just a wind-up. There are better players than him out there that wouldn't be such a risk. If he does sign then I will treat him the same as I treated Marlon King when he signed. I won't boo him - but I won't applaud him either, or acknowledge any contribution he makes to the team. I'll just ignore him because that's the contempt I think he deserves.

Can't disagree with those comments at the time but:

The team took him on board and acknowledged that he had been a twat in the past.

Madine supprised me but he took it this on board and he stepped up to the mark.

I don't talk bullshit - thanks. I won't applaud Madine - full stop. I think he's a dickhead. I won't boo him either.

If we score a winning goal at Wembley, as you suggest (and I don't think we are going to Wembley - won't be necessary) then I will applaud the goal - I will assume that it wasn't all the work of one man.

Does that help?

Wembley?

It will have to be a cup final :D

Cheers for the response

Glad he’s setting the bar high. All signings that would improve us.

A bit underwhelming - Maupay will need Canas with him, Allen reminds me of lastpayday Hammond and the others unproven in PL. Disappointing we're sending back the 3 loans that coincided with the improved form to get to PL.
