He's not for me.
He can't get near a team that's below us in the league even though they are managed by the same manager who he played for in his most prolific season, he has had injury problems throughout his career, he only scored 6 goals in 30+ plus games last season hardly prolific.
There are too many alarm bells ringing for me especially given the probable cost to Utd.
Of course if Wilder thinks he can do a job for us then who am i to doubt it.

To be fair, they're all about Abraham and no one else gets a look in only playing 1 up top. And he's in this market a 20 mill plus player.

Woodburn excluded, wilder has been on the button with his recruitment this season so if he's good enough for him, he's good enough for me

Whilst he might not get the same salary at another club, I'm sure we could agree to letting Leon have his share of a promotion bonus if we fluke the promised land. I reckon Brizzle could afford his salary anyway

I've resurrected the Scott Hogan thread as there's an article in the Daily mail saying we have enquired again

I had no doubt whatsoever that we would. He’s been towards the top of our target list for a long time, now. Managers often chase players for much longer than we imagine.

The cost of a loan is fine by Kev. He looks at the overall expenditure. We are willing to pay loan players substantially more than we would the same player over a three year deal.

Hogan when fit is quick and scores goals, in particular he scores the sort of goals our current strikers (worthy though they are) do not. Off the shoulder of the centre-half and one on one with the keeper is a high- ratio EG for Scott Hogan. Am I right, Blades Analytics?

Yes. Holmes and Leonard are two that spring to mind.

He's scored less goals than Ched Evans since. And Ched was locked up in 2016.

Well, you did ask! :D

Though crucially Hogan has a sizeable lead over him on goals at this level over the past 2 seasons. Stick Hogan in a League 1 team and I’d expect he’d top the scoring charts.

I’d be happy with a loan for him tbh, but I’m not convinced Villa would do that. They aren’t beyond making a late run for the playoffs if they hit form, and I doubt many teams will be overly keen to potentially strengthen their rivals at the top end of the table.

Quick off the shoulder of defenders, goes round over and through a keeper. Looks good to me. Wilder knows him and I trust wilder, Madine was a gamble but apart from match fitness he was in for MoM vs Norwich.
Yes, a cool finisher. Doesn`t panic or snatch at his chances, and seems to find space well.

Not got any concrete info yet, but one thing I can confirm is John Fleck was missing from training today.

That's not a good sign

All the rumours that he's held talks might well be true then and if it is true, then permission must have been granted, meaning a fee has now been agreed

2 + 2 = 5?....................................... I fkin hope so

Wouldn't they usually train on Monday?

Tbh, I was always of the belief that actual physical training didn't take place after a weekend game on a Monday, but that the players do in fact report in and get checked for niggles, injuries and debrief from the weekend game

All I know is that we dont do trainings on Wednesdays unless we have a match that evening
Tis true.

Monday: assess fitness levels
Tuesday: Yoga
Wednesday: Bingo at Gala
Thursday: Piss up
Friday: assess sobriety levels
Satdi: Footy
Sunday: Roast dinner and jam roly poly pudding at Toby Carvery - the home of the roast!

We're fucked I tell thee, fucked!

Fleck leaving would be bad enough, but leaving to that shower really would be hard to stomach. Honestly, there are only two clubs I would resent us selling him to; the first club who makes an offer for him just so happens to be one of them and we entertain it?

Please let me wake up tomorrow and all this nonsense has gone away.

He may well have missed training as a fairly standard response to the bid being received so he can talk it over, think about it or do whatever they do in these situations.

Abraham missed a few training sessions at Villa didn’t he when Wolves were sniffing about, but ultimately stayed.

I hope he’s got enough loyalty to understand if they don’t meet our valuation at this stage in the season then he won’t be leaving but perhaps we’d have to agree to listen to offers in summer for him.

I don’t buy the belief that a player can’t continue to play for a team if they have a transfer refused. Other clubs seem to reject bids and keep hold of players.

There were no rumours that he had held talks. At least none that I saw?
