Cant see Villa going for him after signing Wesley to replace Abraham.
I would imagine Sevilla will only go for him if they lose Ben Yedder to Man U. I don't really see that one happening and will only happen if Lukaku moves.
From the information from RC I think (total guess work) that they are waiting to see what comes of the Ben Yedder to Man U deal. Can't really blame Maupay for wanting to wait out for a potential move to Sevilla over United.
I think this one could drag on for a while.
Agree with that.
I’ve been on the Villa forum and most of their fans don’t think there’ll go after Maupay.
They say that Dean Smith prefers to play 1 up front and their first choice striker will be Wesley.
However they do want a backup striker but believe Brentford’s asking price is too high for someone that would be their backup.
They seem to prefer Danial Sturridge, he was backup at Liverpool, so would probably accept it at Villa too
And let’s nor forget that Sturridge is from Birmingham, so would be closer to his friends and family.
He also started his football career at the Aston Villa Academy, so it’s like he’s going home.
