Do want :p

If we did sign him then can anyone name a faster player that has played for us?

Would be good if we could somehow manage to sign him and then get Harry Wilson in on loan to take advantage of all the free kicks he would win us around the box.

No idea how they would both fit in to the same starting line up though.

As contender for most obvious post of the year. I’d like to put forward this useless nugget of info.

Maupey is certainly leaving Brentford where to I have no idea.. another one that maybe of interest to us Charlie Mulgrew is also on the move

Maupay's at absolute peak value now. This is the most obvious example of how Brentford operate and when they sell.

As for Mulgrew.... experienced cover for LCB / LWB and a set piece specialist. Could do worse.

That's a decent shout re Mulgrew. Surprised Blackburn aren't offering him something? He'd cover O'Connell and Enda and as you say takes a decent free kick - thankfully not the other side of the post against us!

I don't think we'll be signing a player to make Enda a back up so Mulgrew on a one year contract would be a decent option.

A bit underwhelming - Maupay will need Canas with him, Allen reminds me of lastpayday Hammond and the others unproven in PL. Disappointing we're sending back the 3 loans that coincided with the improved form to get to PL.

All loan players go back at the end of the loan period! Them’s the rules...

WUHDP??
He is under contract until 2021: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/46224386

So quite possibly the most unknowing source of info every presented on S2

This time of year my Mrs works on loads of kit launches. She signs NDAs probably like Foxy has too and she keeps any info about kits to herself (she doesn’t even tell me)

Thing is she does say other stuff unknowingly leaving me to piece together the story..she’s genuinely no clue she’s giving away ITK info

So Mulgrew got injured and hasn’t been able to get back in the team since even articles with Mowbray explaining why he preferred Lenihan and Williams https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co....plains-decision-to-leave-out-charlie-mulgrew/

She also told me that Mulgrew wasn’t part of the Kit Launch and that Dack was going to be Captain next years. For me that is a case of taking 2+2+2 and getting 6.

Maupay wasn’t part of Brentford’s kit Launch and interestingly Mason Holgate was part of WBAs. Although I think this is speculative on WBAs part because I mentioned this to a member of Everton scouting staff and he looked genuinely confused by it

May mean nothing but you tend to have your best players as part of the kit launch unless you don’t expect them to still be there when it actually launches.

Well for the last two seasons we have.
Adams the season before and Clarke last season.

Who's the little fat kid on Wilder's right?

Be interesting to see what budget Chris has and I wonder if he would consider tweaking the formation.

Strikers are the most expensive commodity of all.

If he were prepared to move closer towards a 3-4-2-1 from 3-4-1-2, his recruitment could be cheaper and he might be able to push the boat out a bit.

Imagine 2 loans - Hendo and Reece James, who pretty much covers all midfield and defence by the looks of him. Then we go for Bowen and Dan James at 25m combined supporting Billy as the main man.

You've got Duffy to play in that 2 also, you've got McGoldrick can play there though you could also argue this is 3-4-1-2 or even 3-4-1-1-1.

Maybe you get Mulgrew for a year on a free. With their ages, it just feels a little less of a gamble then 15-20m on strikers who have never played at that level. Unless we feel we can go for Dwight Gayle for instance.

Certainly Chris has got scope like never before. Exciting times!

We practically already play 3-4-2-1 when McGoldrick plays, as he drops deep so often.

Great shout. He totally could. I'd worry you'd need someone else to play the Duffy role and that would need to be a step up in calibre. Perhaps where Juanpi comes in.
