Who in there right mind would take on Hendrie and his wages?, he, Carney, Geary ,Bromby, lupoli, Ehiogu and bennett could go at no great loss to the squad.IMHO

In the event of being able to keep Naughton and Walker i would offer Ehiogu a defence coaching role.

Seems OK to me all this. An announcement so soon suggests these decisions were taken weeks ago, and Blackie and Co already had a plan for if things went belly up.

Pleased to see no regulars listed. If the management (who see em train every day etc) consider them to be the best we've got, them keep em and bring in others (better ones!) to make em play for their shirts. If Blackie gets it right it'll be interesting to see how many of the first team are still regulars by Christmas.

I'm not fussed about the players that are going. Thanks to Danny Webber, and good luck wherever he ends up. (Palace anyone?) Of the loan signings that are returning to their clubs then I think that Greg Halford would be worth a bid of around £2 million, and possibly Lupoli if we can get him cheaply from Fiorentina. Beattie and O'Toole can stay away.

i was quite impressed with halford, and jon joe when he actually got the chance to play, not to sure about howard, seemed to come with a big reputation but has,nt lived upto it.but what about monty at wembly, my opinion he was the only one grafting, although never been my fave player but he has earned his crust for me,reminds me of mark patterson who played for us in the early 90s,he could break play up but did,nt have that telling pass.does anybody else remember him

I liked Patterson:D

I remember him wearing his shirt the wrong way round for the team photo shoot - until they made him turn it back:D

For those who dont remember him he reminded me of a monkey :D

.

I think these decision (barring Halford) would have been made regardless what league we were in. So yes, probably weeks before, but not because things went belly up ;)
