I know he’s fucked up
Massively and messed his career up but the biggest shame is that on his day he was unplayable, when he decided to play (Man Utd home) he was taking the piss …. Just shows that his intelligence has totally done his career… massive shame because it’s the first time I’ve ever seen a player at bdtbl that showed he could play at the very top

Didn't you see N'Diaye play?

Or MGW?

Three years playing for Bournemouth on £30k plus per week then signing for us, pocketing a large signing on fee then getting £30k per week from us for three years plus his goal and appearance bonuses. The man is set for life. Hardly a tragedy.
He should be set up for life, assuming he hasn't blown it all on Wonka bars!

Exactly. I think I love him more now for taking the path he’s gone down.

Sure he’ll have regrets, sure he’s wasted money, but let’s face it, a proper talented player, got some shit luck with injuries and parked cars…

Life’s not always about being the best you can be, sometimes it’s about saying fuck it and do what you want… with a load of cash in your pocket to last you until you burn it all out and then think fuck it, I should’ve saved something…

Sure he didn’t realise his potential. But how can you be sure that he’s wasted his money though? Because he used to run a flash Lamborghini when he was here? You will find that a lot of wealthy people run vehicles such as this on lease as it is tax efficient. For all we know he could have a string of properties that he is benefiting from.

Got what he deserved. Although I admit for 60 mins that day v Man Utd he was unplayable / outstanding. Sadly for him 1 top performance in the Premier League does not define his career! A bad attitude has.

“It’s better to burn out [no calories] than [then] fade away”.

He obviously already had a few issues with attitude and injuries, but whatever it was that happened to him around the turn of 2020 seemed to really ruin him mentally.

There were a few rumours that his brother or his best friend had died but I don't think anything was ever confirmed officially. I'm sure I read somewhere that he did confirm a couple of difficult family experiences had happened around Christmas 2019, but didn't go into detail.

Then lockdown followed and he was unable to go home to see his family and I think it all just ate his brain in the end.

As a lot of people have said already, it's a big shame, because on his day he was unplayable.

I'll never forget the sight of him putting Phil Jones flat on his arse in the run up to Fleck's goal. Pretty much ended Jones' career there and then!

That’s a good point. I hope he’s not been sensible with it all

There's another discussion ongoing here about the worse player to make 100 appearances for us.
There are some fine servants to the club being ridiculed on it. Lads who trained hard, day in day out, to give their best for the team.
I'd take even the very very worse mentioned there over Moose. An absolute embarrassment to the club whilst he was here. I remember in particular an FA cup match against lower league opposition, the pink jersey stretched to it's elastic limit around his belly and him unable to raise anything more than a fast jog.
Good riddance to him. He won't last more than a few months at Bohs.

Have to disagree. Justified the transfer fee in that first season. Shame how it ended but his good bits were so good that he's still a cult favourite of mine.

Didn't N'Diaye and MGW come after Moose, so Moose would have been the 'first time' if you hadn't seen any of the previous quality players, Kyle Walker, Harry Maguire ect, or am I reading it wrong.

Moose scored 6 goals in his "good" season.
Our club record transfer fee signing at that time.
6 goals. In a team that finished 9th.
That's just 1 more than John Fleck scored that season.
1 more than Lundstram scored.
3 goals less than Didsy scored the following season when we were shite.

Waste of an over-stretched shirt.

Your original point was about worst players to have played for us. Mousset may have had serious issues around dedication - and you can feel however you want to feel about him as a result - but he’s nowhere near in a worst player camp.

My original point was about some fine servants of our club being slagged off whilst the likes of this waster gets praised.

He cost 10 million and in the season where some claim he was top class he scored a grand total of 6 goals.

His attitude stank. His lack of application and basic effort to get fit was a disgrace and potentially toxic to the rest of the squad.

Going on ability alone, of course he's nowhere near the worse player to have pulled on a United jersey. Going on attitude, dedication, effort, application and transfer fee I'd say he's in the conversation for worst ever.

Such a shame and waste. I estimate he scored us around 8-10 points in our first season when we finished 9th. Just my estimate based on his goals. Obviously anybody else could have scored the same had they played instead of him.

He did used to post gratuitous social media pics in private jets and driving sports cars though so assume he's pished his money up the wall.

Sorry I meant to say a proper forward , power scoring ability, you could see all the attributes to make the very top as a striker, don’t get me wrong the others you mention are better and proved there better , I just thought moose had something you just don’t see , doesn’t matter now anyway he’s pissed it all away

And the 6 goals he scored in the 2019-20 season made him our joint top scorer that season.

He doesn’t look in bad shape, hope he does well he may do ok if there are no Maccy D’s or BK’s in the vicinity
