I remember you lol .... You're a lot fatter than him ! you wouldn't last 2 minutes ffs
I'd run him pretty close now as a 55 y/o (who still plays), he's that bad :)

......plus I don't claim to be an (alleged) professional athlete.

So there ;)

Not everyone is suitable to professional football. I don't think it makes him a tosspot. At the end of the day it's his life and nobody made United pay the fee or offer him the contract
Aye,
& re-reading (some) Bournemouth fans views when we bought him a bit (more?) of research / due diligence may have (better?) alerted SUFC to what he (doesn’t) bring🤔

Best part of £15-20m spent on Mousset when you include his wages. He gave us some fun times over about an 8 week period. That's 8 weeks in 2.5 years, with a further 6 months to come. Snap anyone's arm off that will have him.

Premier League signing, Premier League wages. Will go in the summer or maybe January if fit.

A poor signing, but earnt his keep with a glorious spell first season.

Everyone can see his talent and that's why you'll always get clubs taking a punt on him. Also why a lot of fans cling to "if he can get fit", because a fully fit, on form and firing Mousset scores 20+ easily in this league. However sadly this player doesn't actually exist and never will.

He obviously doesn't choose to be injured, but there comes a point when you have to conclude either mentally or physiologically he's not up to the demands of elite level football.

The best outcome we can probably hope for with Lys is a purple patch which helps us win some games over a 6-8 week period, before he sustains another injury and disappears in the summer.

Not sure he did "earn his keep." If he'd managed that return once a season, I'd agree with you. But once in 3 is poor.

Even if he leaves for next to nowt in January, if he's fit enough to play half an hour here or there that's still more useful than the occasional 5 or 10 minutes Brewster is allowed on the pitch. His inability to play 90 minutes doesn't matter if we just alternate between him and Sharp.

Slav has been singing his praises and I feel if he can get himself fit and prove his reliability then he will be offered a new contract
Please God , Slav is not so naive - wot , a player can suddenly be arsed when facing the end of his undeserved , unearned contract
If SJ falls for this old trick , we need HIM gone , never mind MooseFat

I sort of agree.. but how can Slav possible keep him fit?

Good to see him back 'fit' but that lad's been smashing the all you can eat buffets. Blimey. Jean Parkin and Yorkshire pudding

Thought he looked very good for the little time he played today
He did, aside from the fact he neshed it instead of attacking the ball and hit the bar from inside the six yard box.

Literally anyone else in our team would have scored that.

He’s still got the best touch of anyone in the squad though.

Teams will obviously identify what our weaknesses are, the most obvious being our inability to handle an effective high press, Mousset is a direct threat to any team setting up that way against us so he can be very important for this team and setup moving forward.

Until we can deliver decent balls into attacking areas at the right time. I won’t be blaming the strikers for our lacklustre start to the season. How can any striker time his runs into the box when the defence and midfield piss about with the ball so much. Players like Billy, Didzy, McBurnie and Brewster spend so much time outside the box, trying to compensate for for our obvious deficiencies in midfield, It makes getting themselves into dangerous areas a damn sight harder to achieve

Think a lot depends on the January transfer window, and what (if any) plans we have, and importantly what plans Wolves have with MGW, if we are close to the play offs, will the dice be rolled, if MGW is recalled, move Burke, Mousset on and loan one or two wingers, knowing there is Billy, McB and Brewster as options, or a winger and striker?
