I do not blame him for his injury. What’s a joke is his injury record and his lack of fitness in relation to what he’s paid.

I don’t blame him for the injury but his previous diet, up and down weight loss can’t do your body any good in the long term. Obviously no comparison, but look how Ronaldo looks after himself. Proper diet and training regimen. Fit as a flea at 37 and rarely out injured.

I don't think you can compare anyone to Ronaldo. The blokes a freak of nature.

Decent player, but fragile as fuck. Not worth the effort to try and play him, imo. Never completed 90 mins since moving from France, maybe not his fault, but shows the level of risk in a player as fragile as he is. I won’t be sad to see the back of him.

Not his fault last night thought he looked a threat. Given the amount of muscle injuries he has I don’t think his body can handle the forces exerted on it when he really opens up. He’s a very explosive runner. Just united’s luck that we have two physical freaks upfront one can’t stay fit and the other can’t kick a ball.

I’ve seen a lot if people question mousset professionalism but since his car crash I’ve gathered that he’s lost weight, clearly wants to work hard for the team as seen by his pressing and slav seems to like him. Let’s not question his current professionalism with no proof. Note that im talking about after his car crash as jt looks to have been a kick up the arse for him

I think it I am correcting a stat from bladspod correctly But if Moose plays 23 games for 90 minutes or 46 games for 45 minutes this season that will be more minutes than he has so far played in his professional career I don't dislike the lad but I can't see it happening in a million seasons

Least he could have done is walked off from behind the goal , instead of using all the lousey six minutes injury time up , stretchers are available if the distance was too far .
There wouldn't have been six minutes of injury time if he didn't take so long going off.

🙋‍♂️ £5 at 50/1.

He’s in the last year of his contract with us. I really do wonder where he goes after us.
I'm sure the club has the option of an extra year.

One concern is losing a player who cost £9m for nothing, but another is losing a £9m player who becomes a £20m+ player for nothing and both are possible.

Gutted for him looks like hes worked hard pre season and trimer ran the channels well with pace and looked good on the ball .shame he my be out now for a few months

Ive got to say that his "injury" was one of the fakest Ive ever seen and wasn't unexpected. Can't have been that serious as he didn't go off at the side of the pitch or on a stretcher. He was just out of puff and is only hear to collect a wage to buy lambos. He has never completed 90 mins in England, kinda shows his work ethic doesn't it?
I've not watched it back again but it looked like on the side slow motion camera angle that he pulled the hamstring starting his run towards the crossed ball, not when he went down (like a sprinter off the blocks)

Anyone else notice that or am I totally off the mark ?

Thought he was doing ok aswell up to that point.

What good is having a player who at 20 odd years of age can not play for 90 mins ? What good is paying a player every week who can not be available for selection for two thirds of the season if not more? Personally I would get rid of ALL our so called strikers .not one of them worth the shirt just wish Billy was 10 years younger .

I have to admit, most of the misplaced optimism I had for this season, was built around a fully fit, fully motivated Moose, firing on all cylinders....Doh.

If he can get back from this quickly (rather than ending up out of shape again like last season's injury), I reckon him and McBurnie in attack would work. Not being able to last 90 mins doesn't even matter if we're going to chuck infinite strikers on off the bench every game anyway. A good 65 mins out of Moose every week would be an assset, kind of like how Duffy and Sharp would be hauled off at 65-70 mins most weeks last time in the Championship.

Agreed, but Billy and Mcgoldrick

Watching it back the Birmingham player clips him as he’s running away from him he stumbles a bit but keeps going and eventually gets into a full sprint. When the keeper gets the ball he plants his foot and shifts his body weight to turn and immediately pulls up as if that’s when it’s gone

I said to my dad last night that Moose will be gutted and possibly embarrassed of the hamstring injury he knows the fans think he’s a sick note and he’ll have seen the stats about how many games he’s managed to play. It’s something you simply can’t play through. His conditioning is terrible but it’s up to us and him to get him right which we clearly can’t do.

It's a disgrace how the club has handled him, heads should roll. 😁
It’s a disgrace how he’s handled himself 100% he’s 95% to blame for his career downfall, but I do think we could help him too.

Yeh he really looked like he didn’t care when he got injured busting a gut to try and get on the end of the pass to score a goal for us.
If he didn’t have a gut to bust I don’t think he’d have got injured. He’s an absolute waste of a shirt.

I agree 100% that you can't blame him for the Injuries hes had and i agree hes a very talented lad, but we need to get rid because I can remember when Jack wilshere burst onto the scene I thought he would go on to be a world beater but because of his injuries he couldn't get going so arsenal had to let him go however sad they were to do it

He's the guy who scores a worldy to knock out a higher placed cup team on his day.

The guy to plug away over 46 league games to get you promoted, he ain't.

I'd be interested to know how much we have paid for him. He can't have hit many clauses if it was a deal up to 10m.

Wherever it is it'll be for free

Another fine waste of multi millions as soon as United crawl out of their comfort zone of free transfers and versatile nobodies.

He has to take some responsibility for his fitness. Is it a lack of professionalism on his part, or a lack of guidance and control from the club?

I do not know how the club manage players but is it not reasonable to set parameters for fitness for each player with boundaries and targets. A range for say weight, cardio, speed, agility and stamina etc. tailored to suit the attributes required for each player and position.

A player should be tested regularly and if outside an agreed range, they should be required to do extra work, be given a strict diet plan to follow all under supervision. There will be some players that find this easy, say Basham and will have no issues, others like Moose will need to work harder and adjust their lifestyle to succeed, that's life.

I am sure a fully fit and resilient Moose would be a big player for us, and score a hat full of goals at this level (given the service).

If only he could stay fit. 😒
